Could you possibly make a tutorial on how to install this? I've put it in my saves, but it doesn't show up in my "Singleplayer" menu. I'm playing on v1.8.3, could that be a factor?
The folder you put into your saves is inside the zip you download. Open the zip and drag it out and into your save.

Review Summary
"Crash landed on a dry, dusty planet you must survive, establish a base, source of water and resources, and craft a series of custom recipes until you find a way off of the planet. First and foremost, the custom gameplay mechanics and crafting is absolutely awesome. Wonderful special effects. Fantastic quest system. The first 30 to 60 minutes really accentuates the survival experience. The middle stretch of the map however is a bit grindy, unless you go exploring; punching sand by hand, sifting it block by block to get base ingredients, and then crafting those ingredients through a complex series of recipes to progress the next quest. The visual build of the map is intentionally bleak, with some really great 3d models that make it come alive.
I feel obligated to point out that the quest book feels more like a tutorial than an actual story, but to be honest that didn't detract from my experience. I felt like I was actually trapped on a hostile planet and really had to work my butt off to survive. I do wish that there was a bit more emphasis on exploration/scavenging and a little written lore to be found, but again I don't see that as a detractor. I was hesitant to explore, as I felt I couldn't risk going too far from my water supply and had no method of avoiding hostile mobs through the night. After completing the map, I did look around - there are reasons to explore - but in the end I feel like the effort to do so would have outweighted the rewards and the effort I spent on the main quests (staying mostly in sight of the ship). Similarly, I wish there was some more obvious reason to make and use the grappling hook - it's cool, but not sure how it progresses the story.
Unfortunately, there's one more aspect to this map that really sticks out in a negative way, so much so that I don't even mind spoiling it - a vanilla Ender Dragon as the second to last boss fight. This map has SO MUCH brilliant customization and then you're dumped into the End with only leather gear and a basic bow. I can't imagine the average player will be able to tackle this portion legit without getting frustrated. That said, the final boss is a great reference, and I appreciated the humor, even if it was a bit easy to avoid and defeat. A small adjustment to the drop frequency of Zinc, and some customization or resequence of the Ender Dragon would move this map into my 'favorites' column."
The world file is INSIDE the zip file. You need to open the zip file and drag the folder from inside it into your saves folder.
Yes, I've done all of that, and it still doesn't appear. It has it in the "saves" folder, but it does not show it on the "Singleplayer" menu. I've tried re-installing it numerous times, and it still is not working. I have made sure I'm playing in 1.8; I'm using the Latest Version, 1.8.3.

What do I do with a wet foliage? And I got a dry foliage after smelting it, what can I do with that?
I think I skipped a quest or something
You need to make 9 Dry Foliage and put them in the Crafting Module to make coarse dirt, yes there is a way to make dirt in this map. I've never been so exited about dirt in Minecraft before.
This is a really awesome piece of work. I've been following some YouTubers and I keep track of the latest changes on Minecraft, but I haven't felt interested in playing myself since the 1.8 snapshots. That was until I saw this map. I watched the first minutes of some let's play and had to close the video to avoid spoilers, so I could experience it myself.
I wanted to give some feedback on the very few stuff I didn't like, hope you can use it to improve even more in the future. I played in version 1.2 and minecraft 1.8.3.
*SPOILER ALERT - The feedback below contains some map spoilers*
Heatwave event
I really liked the random events, but the heatwave annoyed me the most. I understand that the event are intended to be annoying, but on the heatwave one you have almost no time to react and it can ruin a long trip, even with many liquid bottles.
I could accept the point above as intended behavior, since it's a desert hostile planet, but what I think you should change is how the event sets entities on fire. I found a way to get a wolf and almost died to bring 2 mooshrooms to my base, only to see them burn from a random heatwave as soon as I arrived...
Cactus vs Water
Since water is so hard to obtain, I think it should give more benefits. Even after having a tree farm, I was drinking mostly cactus juice since it's easier and faster to craft and give the same bonus as regular water. The poison is a minor annoyance, I saw no advantage from drinking water instead of cactus juice.
Crafting
I looked some of the map command blocks wizardry and I get why you need to craft stuff one at a time, but some specific recipes like ammo and ores could get a "stack" recipe where you craft 8 at a time.
Stairs and Bottles
Not a big deal, but would be nice to craft bottles and wood stairs so you could make life a bit easier around your base. This map was the first time I was happy to get bottles from aliens (witches). Since liquids are so important on this map, I missed a bottle recipe, even if it was 3 glass for 1 bottle.
Quest Skipping
I don't think you should remove the quest book from the player, since it is possible to skip quests and lose important information. Avoid quest skipping at all would also be good, but I don't know how hard that would be to implement.
But please, keep the books, besides the important info some players like to collect stuff.
Secret Achievements
That was a really cool feature, but I didn't find any way to keep track of them. Maybe a special book or something you get at the end of the map could fill that role.
Some other stuff bothered me a little, like the torch recipe and the low drop rate of zinc, but looks like you already changed that on the last version. Of all the points above, none of them are game breaking or ruin the fun, but the heatwave killing my "pets" was upsetting.
Great job with the models, gameplay in general and being able to change the core vanilla gameplay so much without using mods.
Custom paintings! My latest project, still in BETA.
A small mod to improve your game, but keeping the vanilla flavour. For Minecraft 1.8.

Hey some new things I've noticed that might be bugs:
Spiders no longer spawn cobweb blocks.
Endermen no longer drop Enderpearls
If you make a new update, can you make it so that you could craft bottles, shovels or stairs?
There's only one wooden stair I've found so far and only witches drop bottles and shovels can be rarely dropped by zombies.

The map doesn't seem to be working for me, I place the UNZIPPED PLAIN MAP FOLDER in the saves file, I open the game, and its not there. I've tried the low quality version, but that doesn't work too.

Did you know that 100% of all people who have lived have died?
Looks like that's not the right folder. You may have unzipped the contents of the zip file into a new folder. Check the "Planetary Confinement - The Dunes - V1.3 EASY" folder, there should be another folder in there called "§2§lV 1.3 EASY §r- §aby samasaurus6§r". That's the folder that should be in your saves folder!
The folder you put into your saves is inside the zip you download. Open the zip and drag it out and into your save.
I've done that, but it still doesn't appear.

Chests are crafted with logs, not planks.
Could you take a screenshot of the saves folder?
Oh I see, I didn't notice you changed the recipe. Thanks for telling me!
