Hi all,
I'm currenlty playing in the late Minecraft beta version, and will upgrade to 1.0 eventually. I have a custom skin but that does not show in-game in these old versions. I was wondering if anyone knew how to change my player skin for these older versions of Minecraft.

Hi yes, back then Minecraft handled account skins very differently. Back then you would upload the png file of the skin to the official minecraft.net website under a specific account skin link. However, that is now closed for good ever since the newer way of skin usage was developed. To get your current skin you will need to switch over your world from the default launcher to something like the Betacraft launcher for an updated skin.
