Facebook is the best way to check our updates. Golem was added in the to-be-released beta.
They will follow with Texture Pack support.
This is planned for a future release (pass 1.4). This feature will be called "compound models", and will count models which require overlays (such as, for instance, Sheep Fur on top of the Sheep).

Yes, I saw the pictures. I appreciate that you keep up with the newest versions of Minecraft. Some modders and texturers(?) have trouble doing so. I understand why, but it's nice to see you consistently updating.
And I had no idea that either of these were planned features. I must have missed it.

I have an idea, when you start up the program with an outdated version, it shows up a message saying 'There is a new version of MCSkin3D (-insert version-). Would you like to update?'
Had to format my hard drive. Got every thing all set and realized I had forgotten to grab this again. Cant call the hard drive complete unless I have this.

It does this already, ever since 1.2 I believe - when 1.4 comes out you will see it.
The new update system in 1.4 will automatically handle updates, and will even let you add in optional components as seen on our Facebook page!

-facepalm-, -facepalm-, -facepalm-. I really don't keep up with the updates. I barely even use the program anymore, not that it's not good. I got kinda bored of skinning.

Yep! We just have to do the ability to know if updates are in or not and we'll see how it goes.
I'll keep an eye to make sure I get 1.4 the day it is released.
I've still yet to see an error, and I think I've given you all of my ideas, but feel free to PM me if need beta testing on something for any reason.

I think you can grab any beta from here: http://alteredsoftworks.com/mcskin3d/betas/
Make sure to you know what you are doing when testing a beta (there is no installer, etc.).

MCSkin3D 1.3 will yell at you when it's out, but, there will be announcements here as well.

Have you heard anything about whether the bottom-of-the-head thing is intentional or not? I've been waiting for them to fix it, but now that the new version is out and it hasn't changed I'm afraid it's intentional and I'll have to go back and re-upload all of my skins with that little bit changed.

Sadly, it's not going to be changed. You'll have to invert all of your bottom-of-heads.

Fair enough. I never skinned to begin with!
Little update for you people who like them:

I don't think this thread is the best place to ask, honestly

I'd use the "Setup" version if I were you. It's just an exe which will install it for you.
Thanks!

I think he meant when it's turned final.
Thanks!
