Great program. It was easy to install and is easy to use. I'm definitely excited for the addition of a selection tool and the ability to switch between different tools with the left and right mouse buttons.

Good to know!
As much as we love the idea of "multi-tool", implementation-wise it's a nightmare right now. We rely on shift/ctrl/alt for secondary features on certain tools (currently though, only shift and ctrl have uses; alt isn't used by any tool), and with a 3D program you definitely need quick camera controls - hence why they are currently always available at the mouse.
I'm using 1.4 beta. While making some HD armor, I used some trans-grey, and it appeared perfectly fine. I then started minecraft, and the grey is completely solid.

That might be an issue with MC, not MCSkin3D - check the PNG in GIMP or Photoshop and see if it's happening there. Transparency will show up with black underneath black if Minecraft isn't set to draw them with transparency.
This program is so good I come back for every update. This time when i came by to redownload the tool (fresh windows7 install). I noticed the dev build 1.4. I thought yeah sure why not? And, first thing I notice when the default "skins" are opened, bpony. *Sigh* now i will have to look up if those are usuable or not. My lil girl was too terribly happy to see PONIES.
I hav a problem, very good program and all, hwever, i get an error when I try and save a skin It doesnt work an gives me an error, It says "a Generic Error has occured IN GDI+" I would be very grateful if you could sort this out and message me if you do.

Tanks; yes, it's a cross-promotion thing with custom model support.
This made my skins 100x better with the easiness and its tool compatibility to minecraft!
Though I'm dying for the block support, Texturepacks are hard as nails to get blocks to connect.

Block support will require quite a bit of refactoring on our end, but our goal is to have it implemented in version 1.5.
I created a Russian.langapproximately 80% translatedPlease add it to the archive
We thank you for creating a Russian language file, however unless it's fully translated I wouldn't want to release it with the program. Also, keep in mind that version 1.4 beta has quite a lot of new/changed strings in there; it may be more beneficial to wait until 1.4 is final, then I can contact you before release to translate it. :smile.gif:
and now it's translucent when the camera is facing up. down is opaque. up is trans. I really don't understand this at all. perhaps this should be looked into in case others have this problem.

You'll have to provide more information or screenshots; the explanation isn't helping much.
1.4 beta has a new z-sorter for transparent objects, it may be mucking up...
<sarcasm>Maybe reading the op at last...</sarcasm>
Reading? In my OP?
I hope you do!
I can make like 6 diamond hoes with that.. to the crafting table!

Always! Rule number one of being a developer: interact with the public.
Thanks!
Maybe semi-translucency also goes to school? :smile.gif:
Can you explain a bit more? Are you using 1.3 or 1.4 beta? Steps to reproduce?

Paint doesn't show transparency. GIMP, Photoshop and Paint.NET will, however.

Well, you can change the background color - but that's about it, there aren't any "lighting" options if that's what you mean.
