Sadly, it was kind of one or the other - I felt that people wanted the hybrid mode because they were working on the 2d skin and just previewing with the 3d model, so the 3d one was lower priority to make more visible.
Alpha is part of the RGBA or HSLA color spaces, not tool options. Anything relating to colors is at the bottom-left.
Even brushes would be off by 1 pixel on the mouse, so it wouldn't be very helpful.
Read the text at the bottom status strip - it tells you to hold control to lock the fill bucket to a part. Considering you didn't see it, maybe I should look into other ways of informing people of things.. I thought it would be visible :sad.gif:

OK, I can see that, as it is, that's pretty much what I've been doing, painting on the flat texture and previewing the 3D.
I see the alpha channel now, that's neat, works great.
As for the even numbered brushes, I'm less concerned with the mouse being centered in the brush (didn't even notice it really) than the size of the brush and having to sweep a 7 pixel brush one pixel to cover the entire area of one texture part, or the three pixel brush to cover the four pixel pieces. Especially when doing tinting with transparency, you can cover the entire part with one brush, one click and it's done, no need to sweep a brush around. Having the mouse centered is a non-issue for me.
On the fill bucket.... ooops. :unsure.gif: To be honest, I never even noticed the status line at the bottom. Probably from years of ignoring such things.

To tell them how to live is to prevent them living.

Das is true. I can make a quick hotfix to add even-numbered squares if you wish.
EDIT: Damnit, why didn't I make my version system support build numbers...
Sorry, i dont know my specs, im running a crappy laptop that can only handle minecraft on fast, short graphics on a good day.
Integrated graphics cards really don't play well with MCSkin3D, and we're not sure why.. when we re-write the renderer, hopefully it will get fixed, if not we may have to look into a software renderer as well.

Both of you, read the FAQs: run as an administrator.
Also yes I see that; sites are very cheap these days :smile.gif:
Just wondering why whenever I exit out, all of my skins that I made get deleted.
That's very strange.. do you have admin privileges to create files in the install directory?
I should probably recommend you install outside of Program Files, it's a hassle to deal with if you have UAC enabled.
EDIT: I re-uploaded the version that requests admin privileges, try re-downloading and re-installing it and see if this one works better (the icon should show the UAC shield on it).
Can someone Help me install this program. Thanks I would Be Thankful. :wink.gif:
Either download the Setup version which pretty much does itself, or use the Rar/Zip one and extract it somewhere.
Windows only, at the moment; sorry.
People with UAC/Admin issues: going to run some test cases tonight and see if I can come up with a proper fix. For the time being, either install OUTSIDE of Program Files or right-click the icon, go to Properties, and click Run As Administrator.
Okay, so I finally figured out what the issue was with UAC - I'm a complete idiot and forgot that after I compile the project I have to move the EXE into the setup_files folder for the setup-maker to actually include it.. so, yeah, it should be fixed now; re-download it and it'll be UAC-compatible!

That would be cool, if it's not to much trouble. It can wait though, no hurry.
Can't help you there, lol.

We're not sure what causes this - can you give us your specs?
-P
Can you give me more information? The layout hasn't changed.

I updated the download links (won't be apparent, but I did) - this version has brushes from 1 to 20.
