This took me 2 hours or so, and is my first attempt to make a skin from scratch, not bad for my first attempt. I may edit it and make it better if possible, and this is my current skin.
I just started playing yesterday, and I haven't bought the game yet, but I studied the textures and models on this topic and made a model that uses the same skin format as the in-game charecter...
So I gave skinning a try:

I already won this one! First is Edward Elric, and second is Kumatora. At least, I'm pretty damn sure that's her. And they both look very nice. It's not always easy to turn a game sprite into one of these skins, I know first hand.
Also, Alwayswatching, I like the face better on yours. The eyes look much more like him.
This made me laugh out loud. If ever a character was suited to the way the Minermans run around, it's this guy.

I also tried to make a Skeleton sprite last night.
It's very difficult handling it without making it look too much like some corny Haloween costume... Anyhoo it's my current av.

I made a skin for Wootsicle of Doom Guy, which has a pain in the ass helmet. It still looks pretty good though.
