I was actually really hoping to have a Thor done by the 4th (both the Avengers' US release date and my birthday!), but it doesn't look like it's gonna happen.
For what its worth, I've taken the 4th to the 11th off work specifically to work on some textures, so I'm gonna try and fit Thor (possibly even Loki) in there if I can!

i did it in slightly the wrong order, as in i did the first two the other way around, but i deleted the zip and its contents from minecraft.jar and the .zip then reinstalled it and followed the instructions, but it still wont work!oh, and i also deleted meta inf but it still wont work

These skins are awesome! Great Job!
My birthday is close to the Avengers release date. Iron Man 2 came out on my birthday a few years ago, but Avengers is much better.

soo if u do this for multiplayer, other people will see the HD skins?

Hey, those skins are quite amazing, i love the "transparency" you did to Venom and the others.
Also, the links for the skins are broken, could you fix them please?

Will Everyone STOP asking Him to do skins for you!!!!! He is not going to Make you a skin he is very busy and has better things to do than make any of you a personal skin. He has said so himself so Just stop wasting your time and his time. Do you even know how long it takes to make a HD skin? No you probably dont... it takes a while and he doesnt have that kind of time to make you a STUPID SKIN!!!!!!!

Also, my question, you need the mod to use these, but do you also need the mod to see these? what skin will a friend see on me when he and i play on a SMP server and i use a HD skin but he doesnt have the mod?

Don't think so considering it gets the skin from a database that isn't minecraft.net so unless he has the mod that makes his client fetch skins from an alternate database he will not see it.

Also, the registration page on the website appears to be broken for me. Anyone know why it is currently down?

Just popping in real quick for some small thread updates.

Right this second, new HD skins from me are on hold until the texturepack is less of an all-engrossing ***** of a project.
Also, as stated above, unfortunately I don't do requests. You're all more than welcome to post any though! There's a 99% chance I won't be able to get around to a specific request, but I'm always looking for great ideas!

That Battlegear mod seems pretty neat! I'm definitely going to have to do some textures for it once the main pack is done; and yeah, the Cap shield would be perfect! (Actually, I'm going to toss a Cap Shield in as an alternate texture anyways, which people can use for whatever tool/weapon they want)

Also, go for it! The more folks making HD skins the better! If you need any tips or help, just post them here and I'll try and help out if I can.
And don't let me stop you from doing any Marvel dudes!
There are about 50 Marvel characters people really want for HD skins that I'll never get around to making!


Anywho, just a reminder for anyone that's seen the Avengers movie...
vDC: HD Skins still has the best dang Cap & Iron Man you'll find for Minecraft!

I had the idea to make this skin because ima HUGE YOGNAUGHT xD and thanks to soul117eater for helping out with the skin! He Gladly Remade the Creeper Skin into a HD ISRAPHEL!!! DUHN DUHN DUUUUUHN . . . VonDoom it would be cool if you added this to your skins on front page to keep some of your HD skin fans happy while you work on your Texture pack or other Skins

But do you need the mod to actually see the skin in HD? Or is the mod just to make the skin HD?

He updates us quite a lot on that. He works on his texture pack 24/7 as he owns it independently. I put approximately 8 hours a week (when I'm not in college) into my Texture Pack, and that's run by a whole community! As for the skins, so far as I know he's working on about ~8-ish and I have made my own HD skins... it takes about 2 weeks for a single skin if otherwise engaged. But considering the lack of detail between the two styles (mine being the inferiority), I should imagine he would take a long time to do his own skins let alone others.

Oh and the chances of skin requests being dealt with are 0:None.

I can't guarantee anything will come of it, but I'm definitely going to try and see if I can pull off a "glass jar head" HD skin. (If not for this guy, then for the Mysterio I've wanted to make for almost a year)
I've tried it before but it ended up looking awful.

I don't think I'll have time to mess around with it this weekend, but I'll post any updates on it as they come!
