Your model looks better than the other Steve models with facial expressions. The others look ugly. This one, it still looks weird, but a LOT less than the others(not implying they are bad)
I'm not actually sure how to upload the pic strait from my computer though...
Also, I got my own skin to work with this rig. I did it by copying and pasting select pieces of the default skin in the rig, like the special mouth and eyes, and pasting it onto my own skin.
Here's what it looks like.

you have to edit the skin a little bit, but go into UV/image editor, then select Char.png in the bar next to the image and view buttons
now click on image hit replace, chosea skin! but you do have to edit the skin
