Ok, this sounds a lot more noobish than it really is (although it's still pretty noobish...), I was wondering if there's any way of downloading a skin that you currently have equipped to your character. I forgot to save the skin to my computer when I uploaded it to my character, and I originally created it to give to a friend, but closed the window before I could save it to my computer. Is there any way of downloading the skin from my character to save it to my computer? Or do I have to recreate it?
Good question. Minecraft.net must have it, since you uploaded it, and it looks that skin up whenever you log in and then applies it to your avatar.
But I don't see anywhere that you can download it. Since this is a fairly rare need, and generally people are held responsible for providing their own skins, it doesn't surprise me that there's no option for this. I've also scoured the .minecraft files for my saved player skin, but I see nothing of the sort; I guess it goes straight from Minecraft.net to the Minecraft client JVM's RAM each time you log in and play. Sorry, ICY.
to do it offline, go into .minecraft, resource packs, the pack your using, assets, entities, and find the one called steve, this should be your skin, just copy and paste it where ever. this always works for me.
