I didn't know this was possible. Took me all night to find out how to approach this, but here is, the Chimera from the Resistance series.
I tried to combine the elements of the hybrids in 1 and 2, because I couldn't find one picture that showed me all of the details
Here are the Chimera in their awesome glory:
If these 404 and you want to see them, PM me or something.
Here's the skin;
Tried adding muscle tone, but I'm not a miracle worker.
I tried to make their cooling apparatus in the back. Did my best
You're free to use it, just don't go running around saying that you made it. If anyone modifies it, give me credit for the original.
I just discovered this community, and even though I don't have alpha, skinning has been a mini hobby recently. This is my third skin.
Got file from the Blender sticky thread.
Replaced skin texture by going to "Replace" option in the texture window.
Posed Chimera by changing view to wireframe and right clicking bones to rotate them. The direction it rotates is relative to the window view. Rotate view with middle click+drag, recenter view by left clicking a spot so the life-saver thing would go to point of interest and pressed "C" to center the middle click rotation around that point.
Retrieved creeper by revealing it's layer, located on the bottom right tool bar (those little squares). Shift+click to reveal multiple layers.
Shift+D to duplicate creeper.
Went to edit mode then on the bottom toolbar Mesh->Show/Hide Vertices->Show Hidden, then deleted the head on one creeper and the body of the other.
Posed creeper(s).
Shift+D'd the ground, deleted everything that was in the way.
Repositioned the camera, on the bottom left toolbar of the texture window I changed it to 3D view and clicked View->Camera->Camera1 to help.
Deleted current lamp
Created new lamp by pressing spacebar->Add->Lamp->Lamp
Repositioned lamp
Upped "Energy","Soft Size" and "Samples" values and set "Shadow" to a mid-gray in the properties windows
Hit "Render"
You can use some online tutorials to get you started. There's some really good ones.
Wow, haha. That's much more of a response than I had expected. :wink.gif:
To be honest, I've never actually used blender. Is it easier to use than it sounds?
[Btw, I think this topic deserves more post. This is really sweet! :biggrin.gif:]
It's actually quite hard to start off because of the odd interface and the inversion of what you'd think the right/left click would do. I'm no blender pro, in fact I only know just enough to make minecraft scenes. But from what I heard, blender is one of the easiest and powerful programs to use, once you get used to it.

'Cept you, you're cool. And thanks.
How did you make that newest picture, blender? (I think that's what it's called)
