1. Why is he green? Try a different skintone.
2. Why is the back of his head blue with a J? You may think that having an allusion to your username on your skin is cool, but it typically backfires and looks strange.
And a question? What program are you working with?
Ah, a hat. It doesn't look quite like a hat for several reasons:
1. It covers the whole back of your head. You need to only do the top half or so.
2. It's only in 1 layer. Use the hat layer to your advantage and make it a baseball cap.

Green?Where?I'm not good with colors. :sad.gif:
The J Means "Jack" I just put it there for fun. :tongue.gif:
EDIT:The Blue thing is a hat.The hair is brown.(Even though my hair is a dark blonde :tongue.gif:)
EDIT 2:THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!
P.S. I use SkinEdit.
Ah, you are using SkinEdit. Here's a tip, never, ever, forever never use the color presets. Use the HSB palette and you'll get much better colors, especially skintones. I'll just puke something out at you.
Try:
H= 34
S= 37
B= 85
And use that to fill the skin of the... skin. Also remove the hat. Hats are nice, they're just a little difficult to work with at the beginning. The hat layer is a foul creature.
It' alright for a first skin. I lost my first skin file because I had to redownload all the software on it. It was a halo reach spartan and looked epic.

P.S. The upload failed on Planet Minecraft. :/
Although it did work on Google Chrome!
