When you post: Post a preview image - like an example of what it looks like when in use. Post or send me a pm with the skin image. If you want to post more than one version, Edit your post instead of adding a new post.
Skin Requirements: Must be a shirt of a solid clean color. Must have blue pants/skirt. Make it similar to the male default! Please, no noise or gradient overlay.
No deadline: Submittions will always be open on this thread. However keep note I will eventually love one too much to part. I will not really need a skin for my mod until I'm finished with the option and gui. Even after I have chosen a skin to use, I will look back at the thread. If there's another one I like better, I could switch. But that Doesn't mean I will either. Once you have been used in my mod, current or past, a permanent link to your work and name remains on my mod thread; unless you request otherwise. Credit due where credit is due, after all.
Have fun!

Submissions will remind open, but it is highly unlikely I will change the mod's skin.
I had a look at your mod thread, and I have a question - If you are using a different model mesh, wouldn't it be better if you supplied us with an overlay or something with a description about which pixels belong where like the picture posted in the sticky, for example?
I think it would help the skinners have a better idea about what they're doing.
While I understand you concern, when I made this thread I hadn't yet set how the mesh is going to work with the overlay. The pictures of my mod so far, have the chest assume the same skin area as the default mesh.
When I release a first version of my mod, I will post a overlay image that explains it to prevent misunderstandings; if I get around to it.
That one is too anime-ey to be any sort of default skin... I'd imagine you would want to make it as close to steve as possible. Of course, they would now be stevette, but still...
Second one looks best, imo.
Edit: AND DON'T GET ME WRONG, THERE'S NOTHING BAD ABOUT ANIME.

I agree. In fact, what you said is exactly what I am looking for.

Made using a custom base (a female's skin tends to be smoother than a male's, so a direct recycling of the default's base won't look good), with parts and color palette taken from default texture. To clarify, this character wears a tank top with short pants, and a pair of boots (including socks).
Will give this one a few more tweaks before I PM the texture.
EDIT (23 April): Included short sleeved version. Earlier version has since been tweaked with improved hair and color adjustments.
EDIT (24 April): Better contrast on hair so it no longer appears too flat:
So, I took time off of my thread to make this, and I hope it gets in,
I love the way you do hair.

I made a skin, though the pictures aren't very good :/
It's an edit of the original skin.
