If you're looking for it for singleplayer, then sure, but if you're looking for multiplayer: 1)it won't work, it'll show up as black, and 2)no one would if it did work, because that makes a griefer impossible to detect.
Whatif we only enable it for OPs? So that OPs can spy on newcomers. :laugh.gif:
That would be a good suggestion, imho as an op, but I don't know if that's possible, or if Notch would agree that it's a good idea.
EDIT: Good idea because of griefers and such, not 'spying' or 'newcomers'.
theres a /hide function with jte's server. it lets ops hide their player, so that you can walk around and not be noticed. spying, is a usefull tool for ops, and should be implemented into the regular minecraft server.

Despite the digression here, it can be summed up with, "It currently can't be done anyway."
I've heard (and seen, though not in my own experience) that transparency does work in singleplayer, so not quite 'can't be done', considering the original request was 'invisible skin', not 'invisible skin for multiplayer'.

I don't get what you mean by that.
