Back in 2012 I started working on a texture pack that would try to simulate what Minecraft would be like if it was actually built from LEGO bricks. For various reasons the project ground to a halt, but now I've picked it back up
The concept is to use the LEGO colour palette and make the "bricks" smooth and bright (just like LEGO). Grass, Sand, Water, and Netherrack have studs on top, as if they were a baseplate. Most other blocks simulate a side-on stack of plates, or the top of a 2x2 tile. Of course, some things just aren't going to translate into Minecraft very well, so some stretching of real world LEGO-physics is required.
I know there are some other existing LEGO packs, so I want to know; is there interest out there in this project?
