An Introduction
PIXLEZ is a texturepack I have started for those who love modern designs incorparated with society today, such as Windows 8 and others that I do not care to mention. This resource pack is a work in progress, and will be updated over time, so please be patient with updates, follow this thread, and remember to vote on the polls! As of right now, feedback is very important.
Screenshots
Here are some screenshots of the texturepack. It would be great if someone could take pictures with Shaders to add to this thread
Sorry for the crap pictures, my chunks didn't want to load today :/
Completion
As seen in the pictures, this pack is obviously new. I currently have finished roughly 10% of the pack as a preview, and was not sure if I should continue it or not, causing me to make this forum thread at this time.
Download
The download for the reasource pack can be found below. It would be greatly appreciated if you could use it and give feedback. It helps me a lot in the completion of this pack. DOWNLOAD HERE (If you need a mirror ask below)
Donate
I don't want to open donations at this time, since the pack is very new and is nowhere near completion. I will open donations when:
-Pack has a decent fanbase
-Pack is 70% finished or more

No, people have been making this pack almost constantly since 2009. Seriously, the whole "everything is exactly one color" pack has been posted here almost weekly for the last five years. The concept is hardly new.
More to the point, these packs are an absolute failure of design. The only thing you have to differentiate blocks is the context they're presented in. Take that green block for example. Yea that one. You know the one I'm talking about. If that green block is in my build, what would you immediately think it is? Go on, guess. I have a green block in my build. Is it lime wool? Leaves? Grass? You can tell them apart, right? How about for a colorblind person? Is this pack accessible to someone with Deuteranopia?
You mention the Windows 8 look... but it's obvious that you don't understand why that look exists in that setting and why it works there. The "Metro" style was created to convey information immediately to the user. You see an icon, and you know what it is instantly without having to think about it. It was designed, in part, to give the user context for what an icon is in differentiating between a file and a program. The basis for this style was street or subway signs which use shapes, colors, and symbols to convey information at a glance to a motorist or commuter who isn't going to have the time to study a complex diagram. Instant identification and information transference is key.
Now with that in mind, look at that green block again. No, not that one. The other green block. Can you tell what it is? Does it instantly convey its meaning to you? No? It's just a green block isn't it? Without the context of naturally generated terrain, you can't tell what you're looking at. That completely defeats the purpose of the style you're trying to achieve here.
Going back to the Metro style, the three key elements are Shape, Color, and Iconography. You don't use any iconography, and you've chosen not to use any shapes either. Keep in mind that just because everything in Minecraft is a cube or rectangular solid, that doesn't mean you can't superimpose shapes onto the textures. Since you've chosen not to use two of the three primary pillars of the modern design aesthetic, you're stuck with nothing but color... and that doesn't say much.
No offense, but it's kind of ridiculous to ask for donations when you're using an adfocus link. You should just pick one or the other.
Also I'm really sorry if I'm going to come off as a dream killer, but it's kind of doubtful you'll build up a very significant fanbase with a pack like this. I really dig your enthusiasm, but this type of resource pack has been made about a million times already. They show up once or twice every month or two, and are quickly forgotten. I'd also like to point out that there's a lot more to modern art and minimalism than just killing the shading in everything.
Again, I don't want to sound like a butt, but I'd recommend finding a different approach to this sort of pack, because you can already find several variants of this type of thing already. Just brainstorm for a bit and see what else you can do with the "pixels" type theme. I for one think that the resource pack community could use more 8x8 packs. Those are pretty pixelly and can pull off more simplistic art styles pretty well. Just some food for thought.

Here you go:
I use my own Colorblind Shaders pack. Looks good, huh? Easy to tell everything apart when you have Deuteranopia? (Yup, brought that full circle)
No... I didn't think so either.
I must agree with you, sir. More differentiated textures and colours would make this perhaps useable with a slightly smaller quantity of revulsion.
Well.. at least it's not called 'simplecraft' or 'simplepack' like all the other solid colored packs.
Really we have enough of these... and those are just the ones with 'simple' in the name.. take versions like yours that at least give the pack a real name and you could easily tipple that number.

I wrote up a little blurb a while back that gives a rundown on how to approach this art style.
