This texture pack is a work in progress that aims to give Minecraft the feel of a rustic and rural environment, akin to the woodlands of Colonial North America. The Countryside utilizes Minecraft's native resolution as well as many CTM features for the best experience, including (but not limited to):
Custom Skybox
Randomized Textures
Lightmaps
Colormaps
All screenshots below present the pack in its intended form, with CTM compatibility. The pack will eventually also support various shaders, but as of now, this feature is not considered.Screenshots:Blocks Displayed Tastefully:
Very nice really digging the "dusty" look. Your skybox seems a little HD compared to the rest of your pack but I have not tested it out in game (only looking at the pictures).
Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
The roses are wilted, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head.
I am sad to say but I have found this bug/glitch where the grid off the stone brick block becomes see through, I am not sure if i am the only one with this problem or if it is happening to everyone. Sorry but i don't know what is wrong or how to fix as I have never come across this. But the pack is definitely outstanding and really fits my taste.

Maybe it's something with your setup; this problem hasn't ever occurred for me. Are you using Optifine? Perhaps the CTM for Stone Brick won't work as well when using Optifine. Some work with wooden planks, edits to various wools, and hardened/stained clay texture:
No I don't have Optifine installed and it also seems to happen with cobblestone. I will try and figure something out.

If all else fails, make sure you're in 1.7 with a clean install. It might be because the pack is created for 1.7, and cobblestone (and maybe one other block) is a 15x texture; if you're using 1.8, or 1.6, the game might be messing it up. Don't quote me on it though; I only make textures, I'm not so great at problem solving.
This is a really great pack! I love the noisiness of the textures, and the colors fit really well together. We kinda have similar styles in a way. The one thing I would change if I were you is the sandstone. Don't get me wrong, the textures themselves are perfect I think, but the color choice just doesn't seem right especially now that you have the quartz block in. The quartz and the sandstone colors are nearly the same, any build with both of those textures next to each other wouldn't look right, plus I think the desert temples will blend in too well with the sand since they are the same color. Don't get me wrong, I think the sand and sandstone colors definitely need to be similar, but I think if the sandstone was a little darker it would be much more distinct from the quartz and it won't get lost in the desert, but it will still fit in with the sand colors. That's just my two cents worth anyway. Keep up the good work!
Hmm, you may be right about the sandstone, now that I've gotten Quartz done. I'll see to fit it in with the next update.
EDIT: Are you sure? Check this out:
Hmm... They do contrast a little more than I thought they would, now that I see them right next to each other, but the colors are still pretty close. Personally I would still make the sandstone darker but not by much, that could just be me I guess.
I am loving the worm feel of this pack, I have to say my fav part thus far is the standstone, dirt and grass. You did a nice job with the CTM there with the grass.
I did notice for your sandstone there is a horizontal line cutting though near the base of the texture.
May also recommend lowering the saturation on the colored clay, you have nice bright wools, lowering such on the hardend clay may offer more color choices beside same color/diff texture. Purple and megenta are also a little too close in hue.
I am an artist. All the art you see on my profile is by me, if it's not I will say so and whom its owner is.
The roses are wilted, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head.
Lots of the blocks in the pack, including new ones (Furnace, new Stone Brick, new Cobblestone, Chests, Crafting Bench).

Not a huge fan of the glowstone and I'm sure there could be a better soul sand, but I think I like the rest.
