I wouldn't give up on it. Steel is known for taking occasional, unanticipated leaves from the forums, but to date, the only Steelfeathers packs ever retired since I've joined the forums are the ones she dropped herself. She will likely be back after awhile. I will leave this thread unlocked, but until she comes back, please don't clutter the thread with requests for updates, and only post here if you have actual feedback, questions, or any significant information to add.

Fare well everyone! My time to retire has come! "And with that, POW! I'm gone." ---Lord Crump
I'd love to be a beta tester (I know I'm a bit late to the party, but if you're still accepting them)...
...I think you know most of my history with packs. I've made some good and bad ones, but this looks cool, and I'd like to try it and give some feedback
However, I've never played Skyrim, but I've watched some play-throughs of it!
This is possibly the best pack you've ever done and that's saying alot. Is there a download available somewhere because i wouldlike to test it out.Hope this pack is still being developed. Good job!
I think i would be a good beta tester because i have been using texture packs for a while and i think i have a good strong opinion on what would look good. I have been playing Skyrim since release and have definitely seen my fair share of Riverwood.
hey could you add screen shots of some if the tools/weapons? also an idea, the cobble stone pieces in the block itself are too small. so when looking from far away the it just blends into a multi-coloured grey. i am not saying its bad but with basic building blocks that get used alot you dont want it to look complicated.
I want to start working on this pack again, but unfortunately that's not going to happen until Mojang fixes the texture mapping bug. For those of you who don't know, in 1.7.2 the textures on the north and east side of a block are flipped horizontally, completely ruining CTM and various vanilla textures (such as TNT, for which the lettering is backwards on those sides). Because this pack relies so heavily on CTM, this bug basically ruins the look of everything, and it's not worth working on it until Mojang gets this straightened out.
I happened to stumble across you while looking through the forums (in the "Texture Artists' Union" to be exact), and your signature drew me in. After discovering this new thread of yours I thought that I might try and become a beta tester to support you in making the Riverwood resource pack. From the spoiler images that I have seen, it looks very nice!
As a beta tester, I will be able to offer you my honest opinion and give you suggestions about the advancement of your pack, which I believe will turn out well. Although I have unfortunately never played Skyrim, I will still be able to give you valuable feedback on your pack.
I hope you consider giving me access to the closed beta-edition of Riverwood.
I have been looking for some nice texture packs lately to play some survival on and make my own town and what not, i stumbled upon yours and i love the looks of it and how its based of of skyrim, i would love to give you any kind of feedback i have of the texture pack, how the blocks look, mobs, weapons, etc. I hope you will give me the opportunity to test this texture pack with my towns that i will be building and see how it looks with my regular survival world, thanks for your time!
First: at the beginning is "A Skryim-pack inspired by Steelfeathers" Skyrim is spelled wrong.
Second: Skyrim is a game with very little life so remember to leave next shades of gray, I can not say anything since I'm not a beta tester ((but not bothers me if I was )
Third: textures like Glowstone need not necessarily be shiny things in Skyrim (which is still only recommended) then advise to use Azura Crystals for Glowstone
I'm very excited about this pack! Have been returning to this thread occasionally for the past few months or so in the hopes of a public release sometime soon. Is there any possibility of an ETA or progress update?
What excites me the most is not the Skyrim theme, but that in the screenshots it comes off as being a pixel-artsy vanilla, with some medieval RPG thrown in, and while I dislike most pixel-art RPG packs, I'm really digging the style in this one.
That, and just the mere concept of steampunky Dwemer redstone. Hnnnng.
Not really a status update, but I just realized that all the new 1.7 flowers will be a great thing for this pack, considering how many different varieties of flora and fauna there are in skyrim.
Okay, more seriously, after going back and looking at this again after a few months I've realized that there are several big changes that need to be made. Feel free to give your opinions on these.
-Grass/stone/dirt and waaaay too smooth, especially dirt
-Smooth sandstone bricks look too grainy from a distance
-Maybe switch smooth sandstone and regular sandstone?
Also, I will be putting up a download on the main page later for everyone to try it. Yay!
Grass/stone/dirt could do with being a bit more chunky as I feel that would bring across how rugged skyrim is a little more, sandstone I'm not sure about, I dun have a copy of the pack anymore so I can't really comment!
Okay, download link is posted. Please use only download if you plan to be a beta tester! (You probably wouldn't enjoy it otherwise, very little is done).
Besides updating to the 1.7 format, I also worked on a lot of the textures, changing brightness and contrast as needed. I also did some significant work on oak planks and dirt.
New texture on top:
Some thoughts on 1.7 texures:
-Allium could be lavender
-Change bluebell to deathbell (works perfectly because bluebells only appear in swamps)
-Make rosebushes in snowberries (?)
Anyone have other ideas for what to do for the new flowers and such?
Also, does anyone know how to get CTM for the top/bottom of bookshelves to work appropriately? These bookshelves look awful with oak plank tops.

I've been here for a loooooooooong time.
I have lots of Skyrim experience, and I can be somewhat picky with what I like in a texture pack (mainly the UI) which might lead to helpful input.

Then I was: "Oh, it's by Steelfeathers. Now I'm not surprised anymore."
Your usual awesomeness, I would say.

Correction: *waiting exitedly for the download being available*
