Awesome, thank you for the info and update. I will keep in touch and up to date on the pack.
So far it looks great.

EDIT: Just wanted to give some more feed back. The Smooth stone does look like cobblestone default but honestly it fits in with the other textures of the pack. I personally like it and will use it.
even though you've been beating the life out of my texture pack, im turning to you for some help in my future project. any advice other then not making it simple?
Pick a theme. Thats the best way to start.
Simple? Cartoonish? Realistic? Dark? Light? Techno? Fantasy? Any theme you feel you want to go for and can stick to. Once you sort the kind you want, think up a good color choice that would fit it, if you can't come up with a good one there are many topics that have already made pallets for you to chose from.
Google the theme you picked. look at images, get ideas on color, shapes, what sort of defines the theme you're going for.
Take a look at others packs to also get ideas. Or better yet some of the texture pack challenges or even join some yourself, it's a good way to get ideas and inspiration as well as help you improve. You can even find some that have already been finished, and try the challenge yourself for fun. Some have you make a pack with a limited pallet, or where you need to include a shape/pattern into each texture. Many good full texture packs came from these challenges. It is a very good way to learn new skills and improve yourself.
The Sexy pallet challange was by far the biggest one I seen and some very good packs came out of it. It was one I had even done for fun. (my try was on page 8) It gave you a limited pallet and made you really think how best to use each color and what colors worked together to make what you want. Even though many didn't finish in the allowed time, you can look though the posts and see some of the things people came up with.
This challenge is a good example of trying to include a shape/pattern into each block. Some just drew the shape outright, while others got very creative. Go to page 6 and you see some very nice examples.
Again the challenges are just that, a challenge to test and practice with something you may never have tried before and maybe even make a real full pack out of, or give you a base to start one off of.
Over all look up some tutorials on texture making, sit down and start messing around,. Many good pack makers can spend hours on one texture editing, redoing, messing around, whatever it takes until they are satisfied with it, and even then may change it later on. Like me and my freaking cobble, stone, wood planks, and soon my crafting table. xD So many remade, so many remade. My current sandstone use to be my cobble.
Making a good pack takes a lot of time, it is in no way something you can whip together in a short time span.
taiine i luv dis pack tell raeswolf to make it server only i like everything bout it. keep at it hint make a black cat alt for me :K PWEASE <3 (i'd luv you for evah)

Further News:
I am out right stumped on what to do with the note/jukebox textures. They are the only -old- blocks I have not textured yet, as I can't think of what to do with them. Thing's I've tried or ideas I've come up with I find have already been done by many other packs. Ideas and suggestions would be nice. This block(s) are literality the last blocks to be textured (not counting some of the new stuff popping up in snapshots) and I can't think of anything for it.
Thanks for letting me know. It seemed adfly didn't save right when I updated the link from my drop box (temp link) back to planet minecraft now that the whole hacking thing got sorted and we have access to our accounts again. The adfly link should now work again.
The next big update should finally include a new chest design as well as getting the mobs done. AND fix the enderman being all white as someone just pointed out to me. Stupid eye overlay.
Looks fine, my main gripes are with the main menu logo and the mushroom texture.
Mushroom texture looks like it doesn't tile, but it's a bit hard to see, so excuse me if I'm wrong.
I also think that the main menu logo doesn't fit the rest of the pack at all - It's something I'd more expect from a simplistic pack, not an RPG pack.

The mushroom texture does tile just fine, If you use mcpatcjer/optifine the red one also has random CTM applied to it, so it makes it tile even better.
As for the logo. Thats just a in game screen shot I had and cut it out to make the logo. Black outline just so it contrasts better with the background.
With your glow stone what is it you are wanting to portray? what did you have in your mind as hmm that could work?
I interpret it in it's new form as something i would describe as not a block that can produce light so can help with feedback but knowing what you were after would be a good start It doesn't have the quality the main pack has so I assume it's been an issue block for you?
I have your pack now wanted to see what you have been up to in Tekkit
I already said I was aiming for a sort of 'solid' lava block for the glowstone.
It has been an issue block. This along with the note block I'm just unsure of it. I chose to use the old one for the new quartz as it seemed to fit better, just change the hue.
I wanted it to fit in more with the nether but not be made into a normal lamp texture, but could still work for such. I'm not sure bah @.x

Okay, currently its has more of a mudslide feel than solid. It looks like something that should be moving downwards/animated.
So for it to be cooled it needs to have more form and less gooey. Just googling cooled lava brings up some really interesting shape forms that you could try. If your unsure of the block another tip i have is ignore colour for the moment work something up in grey scale just to look at shape/shadow/light when your happy with the form then think about colour.
Looking at it, it may even work with the existing texture with lower contrast and less orangey? The single block works better than when tiled though.
Just wondering cause if you did then I will use it for sure.
I know anything that you make is going to be great.

Thats the texture tiled, and I tell you it was a pain to get it to tile as well. It's to look like a 'solid' liquid lava.
Mushroom texture looks like it doesn't tile, but it's a bit hard to see, so excuse me if I'm wrong.
I also think that the main menu logo doesn't fit the rest of the pack at all - It's something I'd more expect from a simplistic pack, not an RPG pack.
I am thinking of making a 32x version of this pack now that minecraft can fully support such. But that will be after it's all finished.
The mushroom texture does tile just fine, If you use mcpatcjer/optifine the red one also has random CTM applied to it, so it makes it tile even better.

Just some food for thought.
