I like it. Sidegrass is a bit stringy, but I like the dirt.
Thanks, it was my intention to make the sidegrass fairly stringy; I think it fits better in the pack and I like how it looks, but it was stringier before!
My build is suckish, but thanks lol..I feel special now. ... and I love the new grass. for the unlit pumpkin how about just no face?
I'm glad you like it. Do you mean no carving at all, or just not a face? I'm not inclined to go with no carving at all since that doesn't make much sense when it's lit, and I'm not sure what I could do besides a face that would work. I think I'll stick with the face, but I may make some edits to it. I just really like the idea of having a nice, spooky, Victorian street at night with creepy jack-o-lanterns on the porches.
Also, I can't go getting too out of control with the faceless things!
What steelfeathers said. And the side grass needs some different lengths, at the moment it looks as if someone went over it with a scissor and gave it a (square) bowl-cut. Actually, I think the line of dirt under the grass amplifies the bowlcut look. I would probably reduce the contrast of the 2 horizontal lines and bring them back in "line" with the rest of the dirt. This would however make it really plain and boring :/ and I'm guessing that is the reason as to why you chose to have increased contrast.
On another note, I was on world of keralis a few days ago and I saw that they had a modern victorian town. I know that you are focusing mostly on a more rustic almost medieval style, but I think it would be cool if your pack would translate well into modern builds as well.
I love how they used the anvils as a fence/wall. Maybe you could keep this in mind when you make your anvil texture? because they have a great victorian design, maybe just make them seamless at the ends so that you can stack anvils in a row like that
I realise that you are going for a more baroque look even if the years you specified in the op are the rococo era. I think the anvil would look great as a baroque design element.
I may play with the sidegrass a bit more, (glad I kept the .psd with it as a separate layer) but it's not going to change all that much.
The pack looks terrible in some those shots... maybe because of the mixing of vanilla textures. (Especially stained clay.) That did give me a nice idea for an iron-looking, ornate anvil.
I tried avoiding stained clay as much as possible xD I'm guessing they have some serious custom textures for their clay.
Yeah... I just made my own anvil yesterday, but now I dunno, will probably make a meta data for anvil if that is possible, for those who want to build structures with it.
also, some lovely shots there film. i never play on servers, maybe i should.
Good new, I think I'll be rolling out the new update soon! I've actually just decided that. My reason is because I've realized that it has been a ridiculously long time since I've updated, and I don't want selfishly to delay it any longer. I most likely will have it up by this weekend. There's really a pitifully small amount of new textures, but better some than none.
Thanks for your continued support, Pyrosocial. It's reassuring to know that I still have a devoted fan.:)
Can you add mod support for example twilight forest, bibliocraft or BiomesoPlenty? And this is great texturepack, I love dark textures!
Thank you for your interest, but no.
This pack is more of an activity for me to sometimes experiment with right now, rather than a main focus. I'm doing art for two game projects right now, (one very small one that I pretty much just finished, and one large one that I'm working on with a couple of friends and I'm pretty excited about) as well as everything else that I originally had going on. I still check this forum very often, but I don't actually contribute very much.
I actually haven't worked on Victoriacraft at all recently for a couple of other reasons. First, looking back at my textures I find the vast majority of them to be far too dark and/or of unsatisfactory quality. I would very much like to overhaul the textures, which I started doing, but it is very hard to find motivation and time when confronted with this massive amount of work, and it's not like I even had a solid pack to work on before.
Second, I'm very excited about the development of the other game and I would much rather spend my time working on that. It's not that I don't care about Victoriacraft anymore, it's just that I have something else that's new and that I care about a lot more.
Even when I was working on Victoriacraft full-time, I wouldn't have had time to do any mod support. have you downloaded the file? It's a bit pathetic.
In conclusion, if you are interested you can follow the topic for any updates, and if you happen to want to do mod support yourself, you have my permission to use any textures you want.

...You should totally make the animals adorable. Just saying.
