I've noticed that Minecraftcustomizer is down, so that kinda stinks. Scouring the internet and trying to find others who have made Nurio revival packs. Gunna try and get a bunch of interested people together and start something (hopefully beautiful). I really should be doing my school work but who needs an education amirite? Anyway, here's the basic breakdown of what's probably going to happen.
*I always update the pack. it's working for me right now in 1.7.10. I like it. So i'm a bit selfish in that respect. Granted, I'm not exactly the Picasso of resourcepacks, so i'm sure someone else out there could do a better job.
Minecraftcustomizer was going to be the solution to "Who has the most recent version" and "I like this from this pack better, but this from other pack too". You'd just mix and match the textures you liked. (With Nurio's original textures being default for blocks that he originally textured for, of course.)
I'm shooting e-mails, tweets, whatever, to whoever cares and wants to contribute. Even if you only texture one block, or item, or whatever.
Right now 1.8 is the next release to come out, and I haven't textured any of the new blocks (yet). Once it comes out, i'll probably start texturing stuff, but the key here is to be proactive.
I'm sorry I can't spit out updates like the others, I just don't have the time. But I am making this post because I still want to keep this resourcepack alive for everyone else!
