This is a texture pack I've worked on and off on for some time, and am quite proud of it. Something this forum has lacked is space-themed texture packs, and I intend to fill that gap. So without further notes, I give you: Before I get anybody's hopes way up, I'm not working on this until I get inspiration. The terrain is completely done, and so are a few mobs and guis, so I think it's playable for now. I'm working on other projects right now, so don't ask for an update. Run it through the texture-pack-to-resource-pack if you want to play 1.6. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

Information
This is a 16x16 texture pack set on an alien world. You've crash-landed on this planet, with no radio to be found, filled with both friendly natives and dangerous and evil creatures, and a legend of a race known only as the 'Precursors', which have been rumored to have started life in the galaxy, before wiping themselves out almost completely in a massive war.

Language Pack
This is a custom language for use with this texture pack. I highly advise using it. It replaces the Australian language pack by default, but you can rename it to something else if you happen to like it. Some changes include pickaxes renamed as drills, shovels as jackhammers, apples as Acikad tree fruit,
ect. ect.
Texture Pack
1. Download the texture pack and/or the language pack(Highly recommended).
2. Locate your .minecraft folder. You can access it by opening the "Run" tool in the start menu, and typing %appdata%.
I'm not sure where it is for mac, so ask around. Sorry.
3. Drop the texture pack .zip into the \texturepacks folder.
You can also open Minecraft and click "Open Texture Pack folder" and drop it in there. I suggest doing this.
The language pack's installation is a bit more complicated. First get to your .minecraft folder.
1. Get 7zip, or a similar program.
2. Right click on minecraft.jar and go to the 7zip options list. Click "open archive".
3. Open the "lang" folder and drop the language file into it. Say yes to overwriting a file.
4. Run Minecraft and click on the speech bubble button by "Quit"
5. Select the language pack you overwrote. By default this is Australian English.
6. Play!

Texture pack by me. Unedited stuff like the Mojang logo and the stone hoe is property of Mojang, as well as Minecraft's code.
Language pack by me. See above for exceptions.
My brother for suggestions and ideas.
That one other 16x16 space pack for Beta 1.3.1
First 16x space themed pack I've seen, and the first pack not to make Minecraft look like the moon. What I hate currently about language packs is that once a new block/item is added to Minecraft (it seems like it happens every week) you have to manually adjust all the names again within the "new" language file. +1
.. For curiosity, I think. And power. Or just they were there like in matrix : if you make others robots like mobs, they can reproduce themselves.
First there were some robots, maybe marooned on the earth; then they duplicate and spread the mechanical life on Minecraft. Why not?
Cool. I'll get to it. I accidentally destroyed the cow and ghast I had finished with unzipping and copying by accident, so that's a problem.
First off, the language pack is a seperate download. Second, until I get inspiration, I'm not updating this pack. I'm working on a second 8x8 one that I won't release until it's finished.
EDIT: Oh, derp. Forgot to put up the language pack.
EDIT again: Oh, right. The language pack is the link in the downloads folder, the one that says "language pack".

Constructive criticism is welcome!
I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".

Actually, I completely redid the grass. It just looks similar to the mycelium. So does the actual mycelium.

Why thank you. I'm going to go work on some more mobs now. Anybody have a suggestion for the spider? I'm stuck on it.

Space probe... Nice. Although why would humans send dozens of hostile probes to an unexplored planet?

Mind posting a bit more screeenshots?
...But that's just my opinion.
