Hello there, I am currently trying to make a ressource pack for the totem.I made a custom texture and a custom model. But unfortunately, it seems that minecraft couldn't find the texture that I mad in the folder. when I tried to identify the problem in the output log it was saying this :
Missing textures in model minecraft:totem_of_undying#inventory:
You tried to reference the texture by starting at assets, this is wrong, as the model will look for other models starting at assets/minecraft/models/ (for example, through the parent tag) and for textures at assets/minecraft/textures/.
So to reference the texture, you merely have to write "item/totem_of_undying"

Missing textures in model minecraft:totem_of_undying#inventory:
minecraft:textures/atlas/blocks.png:minecraft:assets/minecraft/textures/item/totem_of_undying
Ignored non-lowercase namespace: .DS_Store in /Users/########/Library/Application Support/minecraft/resourcepacks/GAY
And in game, the model is here (as you can see in screenshot) but just no texture.
I'm new here, so excuse me if there some info missing
The way you referenced the textures in the model is wrong, here's a comparison:
GAY/assets/minecraft/textures/item/totem_of_undying.png (Location of the File)
GAY/assets/minecraft/textures/assets/minecraft/textures/item/totem_of_undying.png (Location the model looks for the File)
Optimization suggestions:
When the angle is 0, the whole rotation tag is useless.
The first person and third person display values get copied to the opposite hand when it's not specified.

So what do I write ?
I don't understand what's wrong in the reference.
