Hello, so I'm making a resource pack, and one of the things I'm trying to implement is replacing the SGA text in the Enchantment table with the Chozo runes from Metroid Dread.
However, the runes in question seem to mirror horizontally on every other character, as seen in the image below.
So to try and recreate the effect, I have made an ascii table with all the uppercase letters pointing down and all the lowercase letters pointing up.
Now I want to edit the enchanting table text (the flavor text in the brown squares) so that it alternates between uppercase and lowercase [ex. xyzzy -> XyZzY]. However, it seems that I can't find the data for the flavor text anywhere in the lang files. If anyone knows how to find them and if you can locate them, I'd like to know.
Thanks, but that's not my issue. I think I wasn't clear enough with my question, so I've updated the post to reflect that.
Basically, I want to edit the flavor text script that the enchanting table generates for the enchantments so that it alternates between uppercase and lowercase (ie. xyzzy -> XyZzY), but I can't find it in the lang files, unlike the rest of the game's text.

Usually, these letter textures also have a .mcmeta file in the same name that states what letters are where and their dimensions.

Yeah, I think it's hardcoded. Join the Illuminati!
You would need to modify the game to change that, there are modifications that did this in the past.
I think they discontinued support when Mojang added the ability to tell what enchantment gets applied guaranteed when hovering over an option.
