I've decided to take on a ambitious project to change every single sound in the game to create that medieval fantasy feeling that Hytale offers, which is also present in many RPG's games. I watched a tutorial on how to setup a custom resource pack, make a "sounds" folder and overwrite the existing sounds from there. I first started with chaning the soundtrack in survival mode and it worked, but the music from "creative" folder is giving me some troubles.
I overwrote the 6 .ogg music files, named them as they should be - "creative1" up to "creative6". The issue starts when i log into a world in creative. Sometimes it plays a song from the "creative" folder right away, but most of the times plays the music i put for survival. Even when im using commands to test, it almost never uses a song from the supossed folder. And it happens only in creative. When im in survival mode, everything is working and the game uses the right music. The other issue is with the menu music. Named the files "menu1" up to "menu4", put them in the "menu" folder - not even working. Tried 3 different paths and still the same. The game just plays the default soundtrack. So what may cause these issues? I use FL Studio to loop some parts of the songs and to mess with the volume, then im exporting in OGG format with 450kbps directly to the folder needed. So i have a couple of questions:
1.) Can the high bitrate rate cause issues? Or the duration of the tracks? Shortest one is 2:05.
2.) How can i find the right path for each sound? Is there any text file or info on the internet that is relevant with the current version 1.16.1 to use as a reference?
3.) And is it possible to add more music files than the game currently has? If so, how? For instance, can i use the method with naming the files like "track6", "track7", "track9, etc.? Or?
I don't know how to fix your issues, I however noticed one thing.
You can set the preload of your music/sounds, the short ones of like 10 seconds or less can be preloaded, but the longer ones, the music you made, has to be loaded directly from the source as it gets played to relieve some ram for the preloaded sounds.
An example are player hurt sounds, they are all preload on the launch of the game, but the discs played in the jukebox don't.

So I don't think the bitrate is an issue.
