I saw that dispenser and droppers have not just "facing" as block data but also "triggered" which just says if the dropper or dispenser is powered or not.
Based on that i tried to create a resource pack which uses that block data so that you can see if a certain dropper or dispenser is activated or not. Models and textures are all made but i have problems in the dispenser.json and dropper.json file for the blockdata folder. Here my current dispenser.json file:
just adding the "triggered=true" or "triggered=false" would be enough and it would work was what i thought. Changing the sequence of "triggered" and "facing" did't help either. Do i have to make another file similar to the daylight detector (and inverted daylight detector) or am i using the block data "triggered" wrong? Hope someone could help me.
@OfficialMihro thanks for pointing that out just didn't know how to do it right.
Sadly it doesn't work how I thought it would work. First of all even when a dispenser or dropper has the tag "triggered=true" it wouldn't take the right model.
It looks like droppers are displayed as if "triggered" is always on "false"
Something i found out too was the behavior of that tag.
Dropper and dispenser are triggered when a redstone signal is applied. Sometimes.
But "triggered" wouldn't turn back to false when the signal is turned off. It goes back to false when you place/destroy a block next to it or open its inventory.
Basically I don't understand for what that block data "triggered" is used for.
