Hi everyone! I need your help very badly.
Recently, I started experimenting with custom resource packs for a map that I am building. I figured out how to make armor look like somebody's skin, for example. But I need at least 6 different armor textures, and the most I can get is 5. I need help putting multiple armor textures on one piece of armor, changing the damage value depending on how I want it to look.
The videos haven't made sense, and other places tell me its impossible. I know it's possible, so please don't tell me its impossible. I have Optifine, if that is crucial to success.
Thanks everybody! I hope you can get back to me soon!

Hey guys, I wrote a Minecraft book called The Griefer Attack! Check it out!
Hi! It is possible to change armour textures based on their name, but only works if you have optifine. I made a resourcepack based around this feature specifically for a server. You can find it here for an example. Pay close attention to the files in assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/cit

Hope this helps!
Will I be able to create the textures myself, or are they pre-made? Because I need some specific things...
Thanks for your help!
