I want to put custom models on iron sword durability values but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do this. I've found a ton of tutorials that cover how to do dura values without 3d models, but it seems there are extra steps involved when a model is there and has to call on a texture...
My problem was the paths as you probably guessed they were all screwed up lol. I'm super grateful for the entire laydown though, it's way more organized and just feels a lot less messy now so thank you!
Obviously cut out all the elements to keep it short.
The textures are housed in those file paths, here's some pictures
The iron_pickaxe & default are in the same folder as the iron_sword & default jsons, which is just minecraft/models/item
Keeping in mind the first set works perfectly, can you tell what's different? It's late, maybe I'm just missing something obvious but to me they look identically set up.
Hey sorry to be a bother you just seem really good at this stuff haha. If it's not too much trouble could you take a look at my new thread linked below? I've hit another snag

Hey there, so I've run into another problem. The first set works fine, the second one isn't working.
Here they are.
FIRST SET
iron_sword_default.json
iron_sword.json
SECOND SET
iron_pickaxe.json
1a280rifle.json
Obviously cut out all the elements to keep it short.

Thanks again for all your help!
