Hello,
I have been creating my own resource pack for some months, but it only works unzipped. I do not know why, and I was trying recently to use Curse's Resource Pack hosting and I couldn't because it doesn't accept folders. What do I do? BTW, my resource pack is down below on my signature, just click it.

I'm assuming your problem is that, you can't see your pack in the "Resource Pack" selection screen.
When you open up your Resource Pack's .zip file inside you should immediately see these files: /assets (the "assets" folder), pack.mcmeta, & pack.png
Also make sure your Resource Pack's .zip file isn't a .rar file. Minecraft doesn't recognize .rar files, so it doesn't display it in the "Resource Pack" selection screen.

Nope, my resource pack works perfectly. All three files are inside, and it is a .zip file, not a .rar file. But in order to play it, I need to decompress it, it doesn't work as a Zip file. But decompressed can be seen in the Resource Pack selection screen.

How are you unzipping it? If you are using 'extract here' instead of 'extract to', it's probably not constructed properly.
Make sure when zipping the pack you are inside the top level folder for your pack. If you are zipping the pack up from the resource pack directory, you are probably doing it wrong.

Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.
I was having exactly this same problem, and I finally worked it out today. Take out any folders you are absolutely not using. I had a folder for alt textures in mine, and as soon as I took it out, it started working as a .zip. There are a bunch of new folders, if you're updating along with the snapshots, so make sure you get all of them out, and then re-zip the pack.

Hhhmmm, that's really odd.
