Hi, everytime I try and add something to my texture pack (particles and items), it shows up blurry, I'v tried paint.net and GIMp, but nothing works, please help.

Do you have any screen shots to show what you mean? Because you're working at absurdly tiny resolutions, and then essentially zooming in to half the size of your screen, depending on how close you are to the object. If you try to paint at a small resolution and then zoom it, you're going to get blurry and muddy no matter what.

On most computers, you can press alt+print screen to copy an image of your topmost window to the clipboard.

"Print screen," not just print. And like Loki said, Minecraft has a built in utility to take screeshots (F4).
