Why is it you want a 1024x pack rather than 512x? The higher you go, the more your "returns" diminish on the the reason for using that resolution. You aren't going to see most of that detail unless you've got a 4k monitor or have your character looking straight at the blocks. It's also going to be terrible with moire patterns at a distance (particularly on the ground), and it'll look terrible without either random textures (model system in 1.8 or CTM) or a repeat pattern (CTM only) because typically photorealistic packs are made with photos and tile very terribly.
That is if you've got a computer powerful enough to run Minecraft faster than 5 FPS. If 1.8 even can, I know I get block lag in SSP and I have decent hardware (never really had to worry about FPS drops in the past with this PC).
Also, sometimes just putting the textures to super-high levels doesn't help much.
Like the creepy HD villagers a bunch of packs use:
I mean, you might get a bit more "realism" out of the game in 1.8 with custom models. Like instead of flat ladders, 3D ones.
All-in-all a 1024x pack would not only be tons of work, it would be tons of work to look good, most people wouldn't be able to run it, and there isn't much reason to go from 512x to 1024x.... again, unless you're running at 4K where you MIGHT see the difference...

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Yeah, that's the main reason why i want a 1024 tex pack, i do use a 4k monitor I also recently got a titan X with 12GB video memory so i want to push it to the limits heh. Even with 512X textures i get around 80 fps and that is with 50% gpu and cpu usage.
But i used to have a 1024 pack before but my gpu's video memory and performance was not good at that time, but now when i have the performance i have lost that tex pack :/
That's why i look for another 1024x tex pack that looks good.
Edit: I found back the 1024 tex pack (was on another hdd) but i can't seem to get it to work or rather the tekkit launcher i use cannot use it for some reason. It doesn't appear in the resource pack menu. The other bigger file sized 512 tex pack is available, just not the 1024 pack.
I recognize the pack you're looking for. That's LB Photorealism. The pack is offered up to 512x. There is not a 1024x version, and there never has been. I know you want to test out your computer's abilities, but hardly any 1024x packs exist, and I can guarantee that none of them are complete. There's just no market for them.

If you double your texture resolution, due to math reasons, you quadruple the amount of memory that it takes to store that texture. So, I'm fairly certain that if you're telling the truth there, if you try to run a full 1024x pack, you will max out your memory and have a nasty crash on your hands. Your computer is good, I'll give you that, but a full pack at that resolution would require an atlas with nearly 400 million pixels, and that's just for the blocks. I think that 1024x is a lot larger than you realize, you might have a lot of trouble with it.

I got 12GB video memory. So i think i can handle that Plus i'm getting another 8GB ram stick to have 24GB ram to never run out. (some games like gta V makes my ram usage reach up to almost 13GB so 8 more gb is needed)

12GB Vram? Blimey, what GFX card are you using? I want it...
I want something like this (that i only have found videos and pics of)
I used to have the bottom one in 1024x1024 but i can't seem to locate it anymore.
The top one doesn't look good?
It's the most realistic one i've seen!
and all i wondered if there's any similar 1024 packs out there.
In general the terms Minecraft and realistic don't go so well together. XD Good luck though!
