I actually have pictures of the textures I did today. I'm just trying to desperately distract myself from my depression. I broke my kindle today and since it's out of warranty, I had to get a new one. I did not want to spend that much, but I'll be even more upset if I don't have a kindle. I'm so mad at myself right now and am trying now to think about. Hence, texturing.

Try doing something monotonously relaxing, such as a solo megabuild with no map editors, or mining.
Or something else you can think of that isn't Minecraft.

Best of luck, technology can be a real b*tch sometimes. And great job making those textures when depressed! When I am upset, I can't texture to save my life.
Sorry folks for not showing up for the last week or so... been busy trying to get my ol' blue bomah back up and running and *better* then ever.
Had the fun of trying to set up for dual booting with WinXP and Ubuntu because I'm wanting to learn a new OS for when XP no longer receives support. So now that's mostly out of the way I'll be resurrecting my 'Painter's Challenge' again... Might give you all a couple of palette choices (especially for those who are wanting more vivid greens!)
Huzzah! I have returned! And my shiny new computer just arrived, which makes my day-- now that I have a 64 bit machine with a dedicated graphics card, I might actually be able to use cool things like the shaders mod!
Really like the colors for them, especially the sandstone. Only critique I would say is some of the points where you have the shadow or highlights on the edges broken are a little too severe. The diamond seems slightly to dull as well, but if that's the aesthetic you're going for then it looks fine.

-insert excited squeal here-
Welcome back! I look forward to you posting some more textures, preferably something to do with dancing dragons *hint*.
Also I think the shader mod came out with a new version (v10?) while you were gone, and it looks even better.
Wow, everyone just came back, all at once! Welcome back to texturing, Lil and hey Feathers, welcome back with your shiny new computer too!
Also Lil, I think use the sandstone you already have chosen and the one on the far left looks like it would be a good choice as well. It just looks like it would be more usable on the corners of buildings and what-not. Not really a fan of the diamond block either, the blocky pattern doesn't really suit the colour IMO.
In unrelated news, I just got caught in a flash storm which made me stack on my longboard, ripping my trousers in half and leaving me with a really bloody and sore leg. Looks nasty!
I was about to post some pixel art i was pretty proud of, but then a storm came and blew the electricity. Goodbye last 5 hours of work. Anyone got any good ideas for practising, or should i just keep drawing random stuff.
I also just found out that when i use the bucket-fill tool to speed up the process, it extends the curves by 1 pixel (i use photoshop) anyone know how to change this?

Australia? (the storm, I just had a really fast one here in Melbourne)
Lilyo, That's some Michael Bay type shiznit right there XD I'm curious if you've had any plan on doing something with CTM! I think you'd make a beastly pack with it!
Also sorry to hear 'bout that Sheep, Be sure to disinfect it and keep the wound clean!
Thistle those are some lovely Cocoa plants! (the first one looks almost like grapes ) I was thinking of redoing the floral version of my own with Chromatose!
Also peeps, I'm trying my hand at Krita for Linux. Apparently a great painting program and I'll see what I can use with it... If it acts more like traditional paint (colors become darker/muted when mixed) I might have me a rival for my ol' Photoshop!

I dont think anything offers what photoshop does, it just has such an extensive range of features that cater to painting, pixel art and photo editing.

I hope you can recover from this soon.
There's yet more to come!

Also I dunno which decorative sandstone texture to go with. I chose the one in the middle and then I dunno which other one. Thoughts?

You're right. Here, I increased the contrast and added explosions to it just for you
It was numberfour/iiPod/aussie/someone else, they made me!
iiPod made me a lovely new heart attack inducing sig as well. I might use it a bit later after I have my shower to clean my wounds...
Looks better already!
