Honestly, it's got to the point where I want to scream when someone complains about mods that aren't updated or resource packs that aren't finished. Like, FINE, YOU DO IT, if you know so much better.
Because it's pretty obvious that they don't realise every new version of Minecraft is guaranteed to break everything ever under the sun.
Mojang has to make sure to let the entire Minecraft community know that they hate us all equally. Resource pack makers suffer with hard-coded colors, map makers with command block changes that break maps every single version, mod makers... well... let's skate past that mess, and builders get no new slabs and stairs. Thus the entire Minecraft community suffers together. It's kind of like love... except the opposite of that.
(Sorry, I can't help but give Mojang crap over some of their glaringly obvious mistakes. I criticize and chide out of love. The same kind Mojang shows us with their lack of stairs and slabs. )
They listen... it just doesn't get heard though... But, it's most definitely how I feel a lot of times with this developer...
Assuming the fifth texture is gravel, the sixth is bedrock, and the eleventh is cobble? Amazing work. I think it's kind of strange that all the grass goes in one direction though. Top grass has to be one of the hardest textures in the game to do. Definitely keep working on it.

The fifth is cobblestone, the eleventh is cobble bricks, a block I added to my server.
Looks good! As Kris said though, the side textures are a bit jarring (lazy Mojang of course). I've taken a very long hiatus from texturing and I'm rather surprised 1.10 is already out given the exceeding long wait for 1.9.

I like doors, I like to make doors, especially thematic doors, I will have two plain doors, (think 1950's modern doors), those will come at a later date, the other doors are all stronghold (bunker/lab doors), I will have to figure out the plank types though xD, considering that I have thematically metal doors for wood doors. (maybe, I have to add in a blank color grid, and make my own colours for plants now?) (Metal trees?, I'm not really sure. But yeah, I would like the model for the trap doors, my trap doors look horrid with the mapping it currently has, I would also like to give my trapdoors custom bottoms, (which I think I can probably do?) I'm also going to do themed glass, but I'm thinking of adding in a seperate add-on for vanill styled glass, not sure on the direction there.
-oh.... a page get.... nice.... quick favorite style/theme for a wasteland? I'm curious about other people's thoughts
With what're you thinking, I think perhaps for the bark itself, I could show it growing around metal as a support? My wasteland pack's current name:
A Requiem of a Scorched Earth, and in there, I plan on showing a earth that is slowly rebuilding itself back to life after the war of man (testificates xD), although first thing first is for me to create all of the "sciency" stuff first and then later add in nature doing its work regardless of man's interference and passing. For example, the stonebrick texture has a psd for plants/dirt added onto it, but I held that back in favor of finishing the base product first so I can see what the whole world looks first and then make small changes. (I'm also using the random blockmodels to my advantage)

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I've been looking around for a long time regarding CIT in mcpatcher. Does it work at all I'm trying to give custom textures for an item with damage values, but all attempts resulted in nothing. Does anyone know how it is done?

Worth mentioning that alt textures for damage values is now possible in vanilla, I believe? (correct me if I'm wrong) Do you have any more information? What do your .properties look like? I don't know much about CIT, but whoever chooses to help you will certainly need to see what files you've got so far.
As always I'd recommend the mcpatcher wiki if you haven't read through it already.
Anyone know how this piece of garbage has skyrocketed to the top of curse?

Thank you for replying!
For one, alt textures for damage values is in vanilla 1.9, but it does not support ones that can't be damaged, and only supports a decimal value between 0 and 1 for a percentage of damage. It's too limited for what I need ( a lot of textures ), and also has a durability bar.
I've read the mcpatcher wiki over and over again, but the CIT part just somehow doesn't work. I tried other texture packs too (namely Sanity), but the CIT there doesn't work either. Some on that thread said it's happening to everyone. I have no idea what's going on now.

There's no MCPatcher for 1.9, so you need to install Optifine. Have you done that?
If so, feel free to look at my pack. I have iron, gold and diamond tools with working damage values.

Smiley Face Moon
lol, Minecraft 2.0's biggest feature is having more stairs and slabs
That doesn't make sense. How would the feelings of casual game designers be their highest concern?

Just saying, can someone PLEASE update the code on the OP... it's a mess...
Wait, 1.10's out already? That was fast... that's gotta be like the shortest period of time between main versions in the last 3 years or something!
Some 32x textures. Top grass is still a pain.

Grass is the single most difficult block to texture IMO.

Their system is too easily gameable i guess. There's no way a 1.7 pack legitimately passed up Sortex out of nowhere.
It bugs me. It seems like every month or so a new rubbish pack suddenly appears at the top. Though generally it gets taken down .
