You can change the fog and nether lighting with mcpatcher iirc if you really want to get crazy too.
I've been trying to find out how, I looked in Doku craft's files because it has a lot of features with mcpatcher, but I couldnt get it to work for some reason. I'll have to fiddle with it some more.
I would love to Alvoria! Seradicus, Zardium had just made a competition that finished not so long ago. So hopefully these challenges become more apparent and lots of people join in
@Meapers
I kinda prefered your old logs. They looks nice, but the old one worked better IMO. The top of the log also doesn't match the log that well.
Here's the old log texture, the reason why I didn't keep this one was because of the recent textures I was making didn't fit the style. Also I have yet to change the top of the log and those new logs weren't done in the live stream; they have been done for a while now.

EDIT:
Oh, I actually got it to work

Wow. That is one ominous nether. It looks very dark and frightening. Seems more in line with the Wither and a visual feel of death rather than the normal "hell" look of the dimension. I love it!
Can't wait for mcpatcher/optifine to update for 1.9 so I can play around with these effects for harmony... Normal minecraft skies and light colouring is so dull.
That turned out really well though meaps, very spooky!

The Nether looks great! Nice job on the light map. I think I should do that for my personal add on for Lithos!

Woah. That Nether. Spooky as hell xD. I've been with that idea in my mind for long, but never thought it would look that awesome. I think I should do something similar with my pack too...
*agrees with the group about the subject of Meep's Awesome Yet Terrifying Nether of Doom and Gloom and it's Atmospheric Epicness of Luminous Chroma*
btw, Got a new toy...a Yiynova 19'' Tablet monitor... Having some fun setting up this thing... So far it's a phenomenal machine, fast and responsive.. Just have a bit of bugginess that could be result of a system that has been modified (and probably having some old drivers from wacom gumming up the works...)
I'm going to have fun reinstalling either Ubuntu or maybe Mint and see about doing some VirtualBox fun with Windows inside.
@thosewhorespondedtomypreviouspost, Thanks for the feedback guys, I do appreciate that (On the subject of my new nether, I might be making all the mobs have the same dark feel to it, for example the blaze could become blue. I doubt this would be possible, but would I be able to change certain blocks appearance based on the environment it is in? Like if it were lava in the over world it would be red and in the nether it would be

Redid the wheat, I felt it was WAY too saturated before. Feel like redoing my cobble stone too.
New door (Re-doing them again :c), and soul sand. However, something is missing from the door, like I could add something to it, but I am not sure what to add to it. I'll just have to think about it.
Looking amazing Meapers! Personally I don't like cobblestone that looks like cobble bricks, I think the only pack I've found that does cobble proper justice as cobblestone is Conquest with it's CTM. As for the door, it looks great although I agree it feels like it is lacking something. Perhaps add an iron knocker on it or some reinforcement such as an iron bar or something of that nature across a few pixels below the window? I'm loving how everything is turning out. Any ideas on when you might be ready to make a public release?

Jesus, turn down your dang FOV!
Can we get a close-up of the soulsand? (or should I say skull sand) Looks really sweet!
For some reason my internet went out. Right when I was about to submit my reply. So here is the last screen shot I took before my internet went out. (Posting this from my phone)

I'm really loving the new door! The new stone and cobblestone are also really nice, my only problem is that the stone and cobblestone don't work very well together. I guess it doesn't really matter, but in a build that might mix the two, it might look bland and lose detail. It's more the colour than texture.
Man, that cobble looks really good! I feel you, I was working on my pack for 3 years until I finally uploaded. It went from 16x to 32x and I kept remaking textures til I was happy. But I find it good that way, because if I hadn't moved to a higher resolution and updated the textures constantly, I would've uploaded something that didn't look good or I wasn't happy with. I say that taking your time is the best thing IMO.
I have a good idea for a few challenges

Woah Meapers, that's a really ominous Nether D:
Love that nether Meap!

Which I can say is close to release.

Hey, four is back! And I guess so am I...
What's this about a challenge?

What about a big ring steel knocker just below the window or metal claws or a skull or something?

Agreed the colour is just a little off. The cobble needs a touch more brown in it I feel.
Some lighter and darker stones mixed in would make for some nice ctm variation as well!
The door is looking really nice now though.
Then clearly you haven't seen my cobblestone.
Man, I need to work on my pack again.
Get it released already..
3 years into development...

No, at least none that I know of. The 'vvarmachine' server I think closed.
