I like the new one but I also like the leaf from the first sword. Another thing I would change is that you have really clean edges. If your going for a sword made of stick, you would think the sticks might be a bit rougher and organic instead of perfect rectangles. Just my opinion anyway.
I feel like we should have a Post-Apocalyptic pack challenge, seeing all these post-apocalyptic textures people are posting.
I'd participate. Probably wouldn't finish, but I'd participate.
If I may make a suggestion, though, with how large texture packs are, I would say have a set of blocks that must be textured, namely natural textures and basic steve-made blocks, so things like grass and stone, wooden planks and cobble. Perhaps an extra 5-10 'choose your own' blocks to do, so people are forced to still have a theme behind it all. Maybe bring items into this with the lessened texture load, as well, with the same idea for what to texture and what to not.

I was pretty much thinking along those lines - something like:
"Make a complete set of post-apocalyptic textures. This can cover just items, or mobs or man-made blocks, or a complete GUI package, etc. You don't have to make an entire texture pack; you don't even have to touch the terrain blocks, if you pack is item-focused or otherwise."
Since you guys seem interested, I'll post a challenge thread later on.
Happy surviving!
I finished the oak leaves, the colormap works now:
What do you think?
and yeah thanks to echonite
you helped me a lot.
I like them, though I think the colourmap makes them look a bit bland and lacking in contrast. Also, what is it that you did with the custom block model?
Messing around with GUI stuff. Here's a book, with hotbar and friends. I had to make the page turning buttons smaller than they could be because it the lack of centering with full-size buttons bothers the heck out of me.
I took some old armor designs I had and tried to work on them a bit. They still need a bit of work though..
Both are supposed to be iron, but the right one is supposed to be more dark/dingy. Also, the things on the sides of the chest armor are supposed to be armguards/vambraces:
As far as scaling goes, the helm is a bit big compared to the chest. That, and I also tried making some boots, but the forms/perspective isn't exactly right:

XD I do what I can.
Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
Alpha 1.0.4
In-game:
Alpha rendering makes a few of the pixels look strange, but I don't think it's too noticeable since the texture is constantly moving.
Did this a few years ago. From 1.7 snapshots by the looks of it (it could also be 1.6.2 with Biomes o'Plenty's acacia logs).
Putting the CENDENT back in transcendent!

Imagine getting kicked somewhere undesirable with those boots!
