Swords crossed behind a shield (think I'll need to touch up on the shield shading, it's a bit flat) and a notice board/bounty board thing:
Next up is pots and pans and then a pelt. Then I might go back and finish the horse markings, then do the pixel art paintings remaining, then finally do the horse armour. That would probably be a good point to release an update IMO!
Meringue, there'll be ctm no doubt, just no metadata/extra textures sort of stuff - at least for the moment.
Yah, but unfortunately you can't change the model for each individual carpet type (as far as I'm aware?) and there will still be mods and plugins that do x-ray stuff too. Seems like it's a change that really won't change too much (but will make it more annoying for people looking to do unique things).
Conquest is gonna be hit hard by 1.8, no metadata and no transparency... Ouch!
Yea kris, I think it means by default they can't be but I think the enchanting table has its own model (unless that's one of the few missing ones) so it should be possible to make it like it was.
I wonder if things like enchanting tables wont be able to be transparent?
Not anymore, nope. It has the X-ray prevention added to it despite that the enchanting table is a "transparent" block that doesn't cause other faces to be culled (even on fast mode), so can't even be used to X-ray
I think the enchanting table has its own model (unless that's one of the few missing ones) so it should be possible to make it like it was.
Indeed it does now. So if you want an enchantment with legs, you gotta make it have 3D legs. (or at least make the the faces the exact size of the part you want textured).
WHY? Just make it 15x15 and don't risk giving Minecraft an existential crisis. I'm not sure why you'd need 1 axis to have a normal 2px center and then the other to have a 1px center.
Unless you're saying don't actually make it have a 1px center but put it off to the left? In which case I'd say why not just center it with actual 15x15 instead? Minecraft supports real odd-resolution textures (as long as you're not on something really old that MC would likely give you an OpenGL warning on anyways).
Having it off-center would make it weird in item frames, compared to other inventory items, and would possibly make it spin weirdly when dropped.

Wait, will using pistons to push non-suffocating blocks onto your player's head location still let you see all under the world (like an x-ray pack)? Because if so this change is even more pointless...

Do pack creators usually get mad if you make mod support for their pack, for personal use only? Because I love Wayukian, but use a ton of mods on a server I play on, so I'm adding mod support for all of those mods. I don't plan on redistributing it in any way, shape or form, so I'm hoping it's allowed. ><

You can ask in wayuki's thread if it's okay to post it there too, she usually lets people post their mod support for her pack for others to use as well if you're interested.

I believe he means using a 16x16 canvas and only using 16x15 pixels of the space for the texture, enabling you to have a one pixel wide syringe needle.

Yes, that's what I meant

Which I covered. You don't need to use an off centered texture because you can just use an actual 15x15 textures.
Not as bad as an actual non-square textures, but I'm still not sure why you would resort to off-centered textures unless you weren't aware that MC can use otherwise now.
Also, the way you worded it (16x15) would need to be a sideways needle because the format is X*Y or width*height.

For the sake of consistency, in a 16x16 pixel resource pack, it seems unnecessary to go out of your way to create a centred texture. Also considering the 15x15 texture would be slightly larger when held than a 16x16 texture.
You are indeed correct. However, that might make more sense, seeing as the needle would not be visible when held if it were pointed down; and would it make sense to be holding a syringe by the needle?

Sooo..... the texture not being centered compared to almost every other texture is better than it being 1.066666667 lower pixel density? chances are that nobody would notice. However, an entire item being shifted over 1px is more noticeable. And it's not going out of your way, it's just taking advantage of the multires feature
It seems more "going out of your way" to make an 15x15 texture that's not centered.... that's what Mojang does (look at the spinning tulips) .... it's having your cake and not eating it (or eating your cake, but not the frosting?)..... orrrr..... buying a cake when you don't like cake? ...........
Also, most of the time users don't care. You could put a screendoor on a yellow submarine and most users would be fine with it. I'm sure no user is going to say "LOOK AT THAT NEEDLE, IT'S 1.07% LARGER THAN IT SHOULD BE!1!!!!1!11!!!2"........

If i was going to use that, i would scale it up to 32x and shift it over one pixel, therefore centered and still one 16x pixel wide
Quoted from Meringue - Too bad i own and have to use PS (at work) - it's clunky and i hate it..
My opinion = yes. your pack is very original as well as looking time-consuming
however, i am not the only person who decides this

right one, but i think both are a little to low saturation and contrast
