Hey guys , Just need some quick feedback on this bed color choice, Too bright? Bad color? Does it seem out of place? or does it spruce up the room?
-snip-
Thanks for viewing
The bed looks great, but it's not the bed that looks out of place as much as that flower on the left side. It is really bright... It may simply be the materials in the room, but it's also just my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback corner, yeah I think the flowers don't look as bright when they're under the blue sky, It probably just stands out because of the dark themed blocks surrounding it

And a small nostalgia trip. Some oldgen (before 1.8) landscape pics I found floating around my HD (click for normal size)...^^
I honestly believe that the introduction of a generator customization page when starting a new world would be beneficial to ALL players. I think that Mojang should try to make that happen. I miss the 1.7.3 engine a lot...T_T
Love these pics, i love pre 1.8 world gen too, even though i never got to play in that version

Just had a random thought. I normally see logs with shading that is darker on the corners in an attempt to "round" the logs. Going with the shapes present in Minecraft however, shouldn't the corners be the lightest part? I mean, technically speaking, when light hits a corner it sort of bleeds around a bit, so why not portray that in the logs? I would test how this looks myself, but I should actually be sleeping, so that's not gonna' happen. Also, I like the minecart, especially the bottom.
I personally can't stand when people shade the corners of thier logs. It only works in a few situations. If you look at loks like Wayuki or Eld's, you will see that they have that kinda effect that you are talking about.

The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!
Fantastic yet again. Your color choice is simply stellar! I love just about everything about this pack so far, but I am not too sure about that crack in the log. Maybe that would look better with some ctm to make it more random?
I checked the tiling of a few things in paint.net and it all seems good, nice work fixing the log one too!
One thing though, the stone just above and to the right of the biggest stone in your cobble looks a tiny bit odd. It's just the left side of that particular stone, I dunno what it is but I always notice it in your cobble when tiled... (it's not an error though, just something that niggles me)
Fancy Pine Needles look nicer now, since they don't have those strange gaps between them
Though for the TNT, the fuse is a little too big, and the exposed sticks on the side don't look right
to me, same goes for the bottom. The top is fine though.
Your grass has a tiling error. From the angle of the picture, it's at the bottom right corner and a little bit to the upper right one.
I notice what you mean, but I actually think it's either fast lighting or a biome colour change, because it gets darker and the colour changes a slight bit through the screenshot to the right. There isn't a tiling error on the two grass blocks just outside the tunnel on the far side, or on the grass in the background in the upper right of the screenshot.
Where now? Aside the slight dark pattern that forms I see no tileing error.
That shot is on the edge of an extream hills edge, and yeah, fast lighting.
...so no comments on my boring rails?
Also, I'm at last getting around to finishing my tools.
Shifted the hue of all the wood to match my new wood color, and finished off the stone axe and ho. Though may make that the iron ho, it looks to uniform for stone.
could anyone help me with making the top of grass blocks? I'm making a pack with an overgrown, jungle-explorer feel to it, and i just cant get a good texture.

Long time no speak guys. I am sort of late in the whole "Christmas Avatars" but I decided to make one anyway.
Also I have been making skins. I decided to do War leaders.

Too much contrast, it looks like it would be pretty overwhelming in-game.
Other than that, though, they're really well made.
There's yet more to come!
