I understand, my friend will dry hump any man that uses the word "frick"
....
maybe I should rethink my friends?
But don't change the cobble to much, I really like it.
Mostly everything in your packs are... Detailed, yet also being simple at the same time. There are a few nitpicks (A bunch on the last one, but you're going through overhaul on it, so I'm saying nothing about it).
Please note, i am going off the pictures, and if you would like me to tell you of my opinion actually looking at the pack, then tell me (I certainly enjoy doing reviews for people).
1. Enchanted:
This looks fairly nice on all blocks, and is, in a way, refreshing from some texture packs. The cobble and glowstone are absolutely beautiful, with your water being the best thing of all! However, there are a few things a bit offsetting. Mainly, from the picture, the roof of the house is made out of wood. If this is so, it's ugly. Plain out ugly. The lines going through it makes it as if a bedsheet, whereas you could have gone with small planks going into a pattern like that, yet still making it planks. Another thing would be the fences. They seem a bit too touched up, yet at the same time looking a bit awkward. Truthfully, for a 16x16 (Which is what you've used for it, correct? If not, then just disregard anything about the fences), these don't fit in, and i would suggest taking a mildly simpler approach to the fences. Then, last of all, the leaves. While they look nice, the fact you can pretty much see straight through them is not very nice, and i would like to see some more filling into it.
2.
Doll House: Being a simple pack, this is nicely done and looks amazing! The colors of everything are very nice, and giving it that appearance! Although those will be the only things said about it other then nitpicks, the goods outweigh everything, so don't worry. So... On to the gripes/nitpicks/improvements that could be made! The leaves... Are circles. They aren't very textured, unlike the res of your packs, which would be true for a simpel pack, but this is too simple. Perhaps you can make them an actual leaf shape, yet still keeping simple into it, it would look better. Another thing is about both kinds of wood. They simply do not flow together at all. I think you need to make them less contrasting, so you can put them together and get a nice, smooth colored feeling. The last item would be the water, which to me looks too much like Fantasy, and should be changed to something simpler.
3. Lost Valley:
While having a bit of changing appeal from the rest of the TP's you have, it just seems to... Lack something, for better words. It seems a bit bland, and the stone just looks... Well, awful. It does not match the cobble at all, and stands out way too much. Another thing would be that mostly everything's dull, and dark, and I think anyone that likes you're Doll House TP wouldn't like this (Obviously, this is not a fact, just my opinion on this). It's a bit like fantasy, yet also nothing like it, and I don't think you put in as much work as you had with the others. Sorry to say it, but this one just isn't very good. Some things i do like though, especially the tall grass and flowers, they look amazing! Then the trees look like real trees, in a way of course... Since they're blocks...
Altogether, i adore your TP's, and I think you should keep making them. You have a vibrant feel with the colors, and a wide range of one at that. I think with just a few tweaks to each, you could easily have a simply astounding set of TP's.

I appreciate that you want to review my packs, but I would have appreciated it more if you had actually bothered to download them.
If you had, you would have realized that the roof of that house is made from brown wool, not wood. And that it is impossible to edit fences-- they are simply generated from the wood texture automatically by the game.
I also state several times in the thread (and in the title) that the pack is 32x, which indicates that you really didn't bother to read the OP or look at all the pictures, since plenty of screenshots show the plank texture.
I am also very insulted that you have the gall to tell me how awful my Lost Valley pack is without even bothering to download it. Having cobble look different from stone is a stylistic choice. If you don't like it, that's your problem.
Again, although I appreciate that you care about my work enough to want to review it, I would ask that you refrain in the future unless you're willing to spend the time to actually read the OP and download the friggin pack before telling me that my work looks like crap.
Oh, i'm sorry if you thought i said it looks bad, it doesn't- at all. Its amazing art. The reason i hadn't downloaded any of them was because I'm currently on my mac, and for some reason I can't even get Minecraft on it. Tomorrow i was getting my PC from the computer repair people, so I would have gotten to look at them then. I'm very sorry if i put off that way, i truthfully respect your work a lot.

I'm open to hearing what you think after you've had a chance to use them in-game for a while. :smile.gif:

Will do tonight actually, I got it back literally 3 minutes after I posted (the repair shop is right down the street, and my friend works there so he came by with it). Hopefully either later tonight or sometime tomorrow I'll get an actual review in. I'll have to do each pack at different times however, I have a party to go to tomorrow.
You know what, I disagree with everything you said. You are entitled to your opinions, but I love both doll house, and Lost valley. I like the fences and leaves in enchanted. I love the leaves and water in Doll House. I don't think Lost valley is bland or lacking.
I'm in love with Enchanted. It's the only one so far I've gotten to, and I have to say I love it with all my heart. Especially the doors. They're simply amazing. There's a few things i dislike, but those are not huge, although there are a few.
One thing however, was none of the weapons or tools, feathers, and gunpowder had a texture on them. I'm not sure if it was the texture pack or my computer's fault, but it might be the pack, so I'd advise you to check that out soon for safety's sake.
The one nitpick that was the largest was that the water was a lot like Doku's water pattern (At least in my opinion), and it doesn't exactly look that nice. But other's do, that's more of just a personal thing, so I don't even know why i said it.
This one's short, because I have to go in 5 minutes, so i'll get to the other 2 later... Must say though, you're a great pack artist, and i wish to see more from you!

Enchanted is labeled as a work in progress (WIP). Just so you know.

Ah, i see. Well, not really, considering I didn't know that. Also, never mind about the water, it was a totally different TP i was remembering. The water on Enchanted looks just fine.
yeah, you will find that 90% of the texture packs on this forum are technically works in progress. I can only think of a handful that are not being constantly updated. Artist in general tend to be perfectionists and that tends to slow down the creation process. :biggrin.gif:

Haha, yeah
Anyways, now i'm on the Doll House. At first, I liked it. It had the simple effect while maintaining a detailed look. However, after an hour or so, i sort of noticed that it was a bit too simple. Most of it looked nice, but some stuff that should sort of match didn't (like wood and planks, they seemed totally different from each other). Also, once again the tools and weapons were not textured, but i'm guessing that you aren't finished with it?
So for the sake of keeping things short, this texture pack wasn't anything like the other two. It has a whole different feel, while being refreshing, is also a bit awkward transition. Some textures were nice, but others weren't, and I think it was a bit hard to look at things sometimes. Sometimes i liked it, other times i didn't. It's basically the sake of who lies the simpleness, and who doesn't.
the word use of 'robust' makes me mildly attracted to you hahaha.
O___o
I don't know whether I find that statement amusing or mildly disturbing.
OVO -hoot-
ahaha sorry I am just being a douche. I just liked the word choice.
