I have some problems to add a wooden slab to my resourcepack.
At the picture you see, I can place it to the floor,it connects above but when I try to place it
at the top side it changes to oakwood slab.
Slabs have different metadata numbers when they are placed in the lower or higher position. Double slabs use a third metadata number.
I beleive that is what he did with block 126.
I know that someone reported this in monsterfishers thread, go and look at conquest to see how he solved it if he did. It might just be a 1.7 mcpatcher thing.
This is just sort of a general question for heavy CTM users. How do ya'll lay out your tiles when planning out a new ctm method texture? I'm doing some textures for terrafirmacraft, and they have like 30 trees, 30 stone types, and doing very high detail textures is getting complicated. Are there any "best practice" techniques ya'll use to make it easier?
One more thing. I've seen many packs use animated tall grass to mimic a breeze. This looks pretty good, but if you've ever seen windy fields, you'd know that the grasses move more in waves than synchronously. Can I use an animated repeat to achieve this? I don't know if connected textures can be animated, or if tall grass can come in repeats, but since it would be a lot of work to test this out, I thought I'd ask and see if anyone has tried first.
