I'm starting a new "series" on my youtube channel where I will be featuring various texture packs made by the Minecraft community. But I need your help. I am really interested in featuring great looking, unique, nostalgic or even bizarre packs. So if you'd like me to "review" your own pack, I'd love to! Most videos I'm doing end up being about 15-18 minutes - plenty of exposure for your design. I'd also find it more interesting if I had something to relate youtube to the actual creator, a personal message of sorts.
I will always try and record WITHOUT looking at the pack beforehand, as I feel first impressions are almost more interesting. I've done a few already and you can check out one of my examples here:
It's not so much a review, rather a demo of your art. Let me know if you like this idea or if it's a wash.
One last thing, I like to keep the video as up to date as possible, so hopefully you would include all textures for the latest blocks, the 1.7 update.
I will consider any and all TPs. Now as for submissions, all I'm looking for is:
1. How you want me to credit you (whether game name, or forum name or whatever)
2. What type of feel or theme is the pack about - in your words.
3. Your gender (seems silly but I like to use "he" or "she" made this, since I will be referring to you in the vid.
4. Where is the best place viewers can get your texture pack?
Thanks for the appreciation. These video are much easier to do than other things.
I plan on doing this for quite a while. Maybe even up to at least 100 texture packs.
I try to do one or more every night I can.
I am still looking for plenty of packs to showcase. I just updated my map to include snow, rain, day. night, wither, horses and a bunch of stuff.
So please, send me your texture packs.
If you want to see one of my TP videos, check out this
Um... that's the video he posted in the post above yours dude.
@QMagnet: Do you require a certain level of completion in a pack you demo? I know of a couple packs that are pretty good, but also very incomplete work-in-progress packs. Your demos are really thorough, so I'm curious as to what your policy is.

Well, if you'll still be looking for packs to review in a few months, I'm working on one that's still very much in WIP stage but I work quickly (prior experience with art and pixel art). It's 64x (but I might bump it up to 128x) and I was planning on working on it in small components -- right now, I'm making the tools, weapons and armour (and possibly other relevant blocks) as a smaller pack called Blacksmith's Choice.
The full, all-block texture pack is barely beginning (like 15% complete) but I know what direction it's going in (generally improving the aesthetics with a fantasy theme without being too large a departure from default).
Below is a preview of the stone and diamond swords, spoiler tagged for courtesy.
So yeah if you're still looking for packs for your show in a month or two... ^^;
1. Credit me as "Michael Niayesh" (pronounced N-eye-ash) AND "Lights".
2. The pack is (in my words): The brightest, happiest, prettiest texture pack around!
3. I am male.
4. The best place to download my texture pack is the minecraftforum page: http://www.minecraft...-600-downloads/
Please do NOT show the leather or gold armor (they're not done).
Please do tell me if you're going to do it because I don't want to keep checking whether you've done it or not.
