I agree, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering the same. I absolutely love the options provided by the customizer, and can't wait for it to be ready for 1.5. I understand that the update brought in major changes to the textures, so it probably is a large undertaking to update it, but...

The site right now just seems to be 'existing' rather than being maintained, thus why it's been broken for so long and is up and down.
I understand this, but as the customizer was updated to accommodate 1.3 and 1.4, I thought perhaps it was still being brought up to date, and figured I may as well ask. On the other hand, if anyone has any tips or can direct me to an informative thread or such on dividing up the terrain file into separate pictures using a customized texture pack, please let me know.
EDIT: I found a thread with information about and the download link to the converter Dinnerbone released. until (fingers crossed) the customizer is updated, you can use this to convert pre:1.5 format texture packs.
