Could someone make the last of us resource pack? I think it would be REALLY cool.
Yes, I'm sure someone can. I nominate you since you're the one who wants it.
A texture pack takes hundreds of hours to make... at least if you want any decent quality. I have other things I need to spend hundreds of hours on and so do most other people. Unless someone else enjoys that game as much as you do, it's unlikely that they'd drop what they're doing to make the pack.
Besides, by the time it was finished you'll have moved on to a different game and want a pack for that. Makes the entire endeavor pretty pointless since it's not likely to be appreciated.
But like I said, if it's really something you want then go right ahead.

Well, first of all, they're resource packs now, which is an API replacement of texturepacks. Resource packs change textures, sounds, add language packs, and more.
Secondly, It could take more or less than hundreds of hours.. everyone is different. Generally, (when I'm actually working on it, that is,) It only takes me 15-20 minutes per block/item. many texture makers can spit out amazing textures within a matter of minutes.

Seriously though, look at packs like Wolfhound, Will Pack, and Broken Anachronism and tell us that you can match that level of skill in 20 minutes... Hell try to pop a copy* of one of mine!
*by copy, I mean like a 'study of an ol' master' in painting, where you try to recreate what you see.
Buuut... here I'm moving off topic
I've played a bit of TLOU... beautiful game. Naughty Dog has done a good job.
Well, I usually don't take too long because I make 16x16 to 64x64. I never specified what resoultion, and yes, granted, a larger texture takes longer to make.

I'm sick of seeing people who think a GOOD pack could be done in a few hours. Unless you are doing a simple pack/bucket fill solid color or 'outlineing' blocks a good pack takes days, weeks, months to make if you want it to look good. Shoot I just spent most of my time off yesterday ALONE trying to remake the LEAVES to my trees to remove a long over due tileing error in them. So lets see, got off work at 5pm, went to bed at 2am (after losing track of time @.x)... 9 hours on LEAVES. Granted on and off work, but still.

An imgur album of a few of my textures. I generally do pixel art which takes considerably longer for me. Sorry if I was just generalizing, I just don't take that long to make textures and assumed that I was average.
I was in no way trying to imply that I was good, either. I think I'm of average ability. Probably below.
I have never tried making a texture pack before (or what is now known as a resource pack) but I never assumed it would take even a few days. Tiling errors must be a pain to fix... If your trying to line up the blocks (say how Faithful32x32 does) cobblestone cannot look cut off from other cobblestone and yet still keep a constistent natural form. I believe that (even though I have NEVER made a texture pack) is the ability to fight of procrastination and putting in hard work to make a texture that is perfectly aligned. BTW I don't know exactly what a tiling error is but I assume it has something to do with the inconsistency of a block looking when it is adjacent to another. If I am wrong, sorry and correct me. I assume also, you need to spend more time on the pack your working on. No offense, I never want to try to texture cause I know this will be HELL for me, but your textures are a bit... Well... In my opinion, they don't seem too good. They are okay. Now I'm not saying I could do better. I most likely cannot yet I believe you could. Also, do not use an iron bat. An iron bar is the only iron thing i remember from Last of Us (unless the iron bat is extremely rare). I feel bad for those who spend maybe a good month trying to make a texture pack yet cannot figure out how to make it look any better than it is, and end up releasing it and not getting good reviews. A resource SOUND ONLY pack might be easier to make yet you would require using a sound editing software and such and it would still take a lot of time. Now consider that I wanted you to make a RESOURCE PACK not a TEXTURE PACK (It can be called either way depending on what it offers: Resource Pack offers sound and/or texture while Texture Pack offers only textures and no sound). Well... Considering how long one of your replies said it would take (approximately one whole straight month) and taking into consideration that a sound must be found online (or created, which takes longer) you would probably be working on this pack for a good few months. I assume a few months since, you cannot assume one will edit 4 hours EACH DAY STRAIGHT. I'm sure that person has a life. Simple ideas could assist in making this time shorter but most likely, it will only shorten a day or two from working days.
I am no professional at this. This is all opinion from me. If you don't like it or want me to explain more, please reply but respectfully since I am still a person and would like to be treated as such.
Sorry if any of this offended you, I must put this at this end because some things I said might make one person feel insulted in any way or form. Again, my apologies.
Edit: By the way, if you want to practice. Do what one of your replies said. Copy another person's pack by just using what you see. Do not look then copy. Take one long look of maybe 3-5 items/blocks and attempt to do them by yourself. Also, it took SethBling about 2:30 to demonstrate all sound effects of Minecraft (I think 1.5.2). That doesn't include music discs and ambience sounds that last more than 15 seconds and some new sounds to 1.6 (if it is 1.5.2).
People keep requesting packs based on movies and videogames...
You know honestly, what makes The Last of Us what it is is its story, setting and characters. You don't a The Last of Us texture pack to make your Minecraft feel like it. Just download an HD pack who's scenery looks similar, and then build your environment.

The pack is amazing, and comes with tons of new sounds and textures.
It's one of the only ones I use.
Have fun!
