What's new in the latest snapshot? Well there used to be a thread that had the update information, but unfortunately it's fallen into disuse. Mods forgive me, but I decided that since that thread was dead I'd just start a new topic for this discussion. Additionally, It'll help me keep things better organized.
Important: The snapshots for pre-1.6 are only accessible with the new launcher. This new launcher stores .jar files differently to allow for version swapping. The new Snapshots can be found in "/.minecraft/versions/". For example, the .jar for 13w16b is in "/.minecraft/versions/13w16a/13w16b.jar".

The new horse bar is used when charging up the jump. If you hold down space, it goes up and down and when you let go, that how much power your jump will have. I think you got everything else though

So who's gonna be first to have the fully textured Horsey worsey for their pack??.........one of the 16x pack makes i reckon.
My money's on Misa, as always And daamn, that is a lot of textures for one stupid mob 0_o Especially one I never have an intent of using other than a test ride.

And they will look awesome as her mobs always do!
I'll enjoy doing them CH style when the time comes but it just looks mucho work! Most high poly mob in game?? Except the ender drag of course.

Threw together a reference for the horse, though I've yet to figure out the saddle layout.
For donkeys, the ears are right below the head, on the left.
The bit on the left side between the body and the neck is for carrying pouches, only available on donkeys.
Is it possible to remove the 'hoof and 'thigh'? Does the thin thing extend all the way?
Unfortunately, no. The legs are in three pieces and removing any of them will make it so that the horse is floating. Even if only slightly in the case of the hoof.
Yea, I know. I've been trying to figure out what I could remove to reduce the visual complexity of the model as well. Unfortunately, everything I do just makes it look worse.
I think it's worth mentioning for people that are getting the files from Minecraft.jar, that any snapshot textures are not in minecraft.jar anymore. It may just be me, but I have made many attempts to get the horse folder, but every time, upon extracting, I found no horse folder. In order to get it, I had found a folder in .minecraft called "versions", within that is a folder called "13w16a", and within that is a jar file called "13w16a". It seems that snapshot jar files will not replace the most recent build release minecraft.jar, and will store the file in that folder instead.
