There's a ton of would-be youtubers who have come to this forum and done this, the last guy didn't do so well. I highly suggest showing us your work first before making a bunch of videos for us.
I know it sounds kinda odd you're providing us a service but we need to see your work first in order to take it, but there's a LOT of bad youtube channels out there that are so bad we wouldn't want our packs shown on them.
If you don't any any videos yet, I suggest you review one of ours as a sample and show everyone here what your work looks like before taking in mass requests. If your quality is poor, expect some critical constructive feedback.
It's great to have a new reviewer to make videos for the pack developers, and nicer yet when it's one that wants to help the less known packs to prosper, but make sure you get the first things first.
My advice on what you should do prior to getting into this would be:
-Give an example review so people know what they will receive. Put it in a spoiler, then whenever you upload a new one, just add it to the list. If you don't have any yet, make a test. Just so we can see the amount of lag you get, the video and audio quality, and if it is something we would watch ourselves.
-Make a waiting list, and make a note of the latest one when you upload a new video, this makes it look more professional and keeps everyone up-to-date on how it's going.
-Add in a brief description on how your reviews work. If they use a simple test track that shows each block, if they show a bunch of landscape views, let us know.
-Decide which type of video YOU want. Do you want a to review over each block? Or would you prefer making cinematic videos displaying landscape views of the pack in use? Decide what type you want, then do that.
-Give details on exactly what types of packs you will review. I like the fact that you are doing less-known packs (I see far too many Sphax Pure BDCraft reviews), but what qualifies as less-known? My Definitance pack gathered around 20 000 downloads over all now, but it took a long long, long time. Does the high amount of downloads mean mine isn't less-known? Or would it still qualify since the thread doesn't get seen or posted on much?
With your videos, there are also a few things to keep in mind:
-Keep the video speed up. If you get lag, reduce the render distance, close unnecessary windows, lower graphics settings, and try to get the best FPS. We don't really want to watch constant lag.
-Make sure the quality is good. This is something you need to combine with the previous, try to use a good, compact recorder so you get good speed and good video quality. Of course, do not use external recording devices, like recording the screen with a digital camera.
-Don't make background noise distracting. If you decide that you want to put music in the background, make sure it is quiet and not distracting to the viewers. It gets annoying having a bunch of dubstep drowning out the review.
-Keep it to-the-point, and avoid making any self-advertisements, except for "subscribe/like" stuff, but just don't go overboard with that.
-Don't let personal preference get too in-the-way. If you don't like modern styled packs and prefer medieval/rustic styles, that doesn't mean every modern pack is necessarily bad. Of course, do offer your opinions, just don't base the entire thing off of your personal taste.
After seeing some of your videos, they look pretty good, but my only advice specifically on yours would be:
-Make sure each block and item is seen. Looking through the inventory doesn't really give a good view. Some pack developers might have a texture they're really proud of, or viewers may be looking for something specific. It will take a bit longer to show everything, but it is worth it when you get good feedback on your videos. People don't want to see their work skipped over when getting it reviewed.
-Make sure to give feedback on things. You don't need to give an in-depth review on every entity, but make sure to occasionally explain your opinions, especially on what you don't like, so developers can see what you like and what they can do to improve.
-Give viewers some good landscape previews. It is good to have one test track to easily show all blocks items and entities, but try to show some action shots in different biomes. It doesn't matter if it is in a different world, just make sure it's in there. The individual textures aren't everything, it also matters how they tile, how the blend, and how they feel when you're playing the game.
I think that's about it. After I see some of your new videos, I may want mine done.

Yeah, I find that everyone is doing the very highly used texture packs I'm planning on focusing on texture packs with around under, defiantly no higher then say 50k downloads I'm trying to help people get their texture packs noticed, not show off texture packs that everyone know other questions answered above. Also I know I have to sound more enthusiastic I'm working on that and I'm thinking of making into like a Texture Pack Tuesday type deal
Sounds good want a review or more of a walkthrough?
A review.
Also, please record it in 720p (HD) or 1080p (HD)
Also make sure you say it is a work-in-progress, give credit to me, and the link to the forum topic of my texture.
*EDIT*: Use good graphics settings to make it look good, like smooth lighting on Max, Graphics on Fancy, ect,

I like that. Some really good packs are pretty out-of-the-way and not noticed, which is pretty sad, so I like to see these. And 50k is a nice benchmark to work from, that seems to be a magic number to me. Most that are popular have a lot more than that, but the good, less well-known ones normally don't reach that without some advertising help.
I also like that idea, of a weekly "show". It makes it feel like a bigger thing, having a weekly episoce on a "show", like the Minecraft Mondays, but driven to a specific thing. Make sure you can keep up though. If you start doing a weekly deal, don't press yourself to keep it if something interferes. I've seen that happen, and they both burnt themselves out in the reviews, and messed-up what was interfering. Only do it in a week if you have the time.
Also, I edited my last post. I added some stuff about your videos. I'm not sure how the newer videos will compare to those year-old ones, but that is what I will tell you from those.

I saw your other post and yeah I know what you mean for the biomes should I walk through a few or like do a cinematic trailer?
Your videos aren't bad at all, I'd be willing to have you do one of my pack.
Problem is, I don't really count as a "unknown" pack so I guess I can't request a video, more as an "up and comer". I actually just broke 60k downloads today, and the pack was only put up for download sometime in March. So, I guess I'm a "lesser known popular pack" (is that a thing? LOL)
I would still love a video though if you want to put it on the backburner somewhere. I may be able to get you some more exposure with your channel too, because if it's good enough for my needs I could feature it on my various outlets for a while. Just keep in mind, my pack uses a ton of CTM/random blocks, so for top-notch viewing it needs multiple-blocks per block (er? that sounds funny). The "lets walk down a row of single blocks" style doesn't really work with my pack.
Another thing to keep in mind is if I feature it, it won't be there forever. Since the pack is still in development *eventually* your video will be very dated, and have to be replaced with something else. But nothing says you can't make a follow up video for me to replace it with.

If you are going to do reviews, I wouldn't add a cinematic trailer to the end. Reviews and cinematic videos are two separate ways of making the pack videos, so you should stay to one. At the end of a review, you could just go to some biomes (doesn't matter if you need to switch worlds first) and just casually walk through. You could treat it the same as the test track as well, and just give some opinions as you walk through in a normal world as other users would. Just giving feedback on the feel the pack has when in casual use, which walking through the biomes would be.
Good luck on this though. You seem to be getting quite a few requests already!

A'therys Ascended has no forum link but can be found at http://atherys.com/threads/atherys-ascended-texture-pack.27/, but I can guarantee it has over 50k downloads. Now if you want to review my pack it can be found here:http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1720515-16x-151-darklife-texture-pack-wip/page__hl__+darklife#entry21784800

Oh, you don't have to do mine first, it was just a suggestion to do mine eventually so we could help each other out. But I so appreciate it!
But when you make it, make sure you install MCPatcher before recording... A lot of the pack's highlights need it.
I Have optifine that will work correct?
