The white and gold one is looks really washed out. There's shadows on it, so it doesn't look like it's glowing or anything. It just looks like it's in a perpetually bright, omni-directional light. Which is kinda crappy since nothing else around it will be.
You can make a sword look majestic while still giving it proper shadows and color depth. I know you can.
The dark one looks quite nice though. I really like what you've done with it. For swords I often guage how much I like them by how powerful I'd feel to be swinging it around, and this one would make me feel pretty badass... and a bit demonic.

Any opinions as to how to get the white and gold one look better?

If you've ever looked at gold, you'll notice that it has a particular luster to it. This is probably why people like the stuff. It's a mostly-yellow metal (assuming we're talking about yellow gold, but that's a discussion for another day), with highlights that are almost solid white. In shadow, it goes through the spectrum of orange into almost black when very little is reflected.
To shade gold, do it in stages. The side that you want to be the most well lit should be white, and the highlight should be sharp and crisp. Don't worry too much about anti-aliasing with this one. On the trailing side, move your shading into orange before going with the usual dark shadows. So if we take a few pixels, you color order will be: white, yellow, darker yellow, orange, really dark orange/black. See?
As for the white, the best thing I can suggest is shading it more with the form of the sword. Right now it looks like you have four colors to represent the values, which makes the edge look round and blunted. Instead of the white gray on the upper-left edge, just go all-white. Same with the bottom: use only the darkest shade. Extend these up into the tip of the blade as well so that it seems like you have distinct faces on your sword blade. You can vary these values a little to attempt to fake reflections or light sources, but I don't recommend it unless you're really confident.
What seems better? A chance for a white and gold sword of quality like the dark sword, or the dark sword as is? I can add both to a customizer but, yah know, I'll leave that for later then.

I don't want to be a squire! The feudal system sucks! Us squires and peasants die of starvation every day! Not really us squires, mostly us peasants!
Peasants should eat more Pheasants... Problem solved... Besides, as long as a good person is wearing the gold armor(king's crown) you won't starve... die from invaders he's to cowardly to fight yes, but not starve.
This is temporarily discontinued so I may work on a hand drawn pack I'm making... The fun thing is that I'm not hand drawing it... so... Yeah... Discontinued temporarily... Even though this is a school project... that's required...
Alright, I plan on getting survival inventory, and creative inventory gui done before the next release. So any thoughts as to what I should make creative gui?

I personally like the scroll idea that you mentioned to me in our conversation. The only thing I didn't like about it was the waviness.
How about one of those scrolls that rolls from top down so the very top and bottom are the dowels that hold the velum.
That was poetry *sniff*
Sure that's what I'm going for.
Maybe... later.
Yes I am medieval.
Deal with it.
Okay, any other opinions on the swords?

That too.

... You don't seem diamondy either, problem?
No but seriously, you can't imagine being a dark knight(NOT BATMAN!) wielding that piece of badassry?
You can be a dark knight, Squire Turek... just go to the darkside( DON"T EAT THE COOKIES THOUGH! They're nasty)

It feels awkward discontinuing even temporarily.
