Well, it took me a week longer than I intended for it to since I was working on other stuff, but here they are. My very first attempt at texturing mine carts:
Oh, and you can see some other textures I haven't shown off yet too.
I'm not sure if I like this design. Part of the theme of this pack is to be literal with the recipes, and since there's no wood in the mine cart recipe it seems to go against that imperative. On the other hand, it looks really good. I'm particularly proud of how I managed to get the wheels to look. It took a while to figure out, and I think it looks great without any really obvious side-effects. Actually, the 'side effect' of my adding wheels ends up looking quite natural. I'm quite happy with it.
So, what do you think? Should I trade out the wood for an all-metal chassis? Do you like the wheels? Give me your opinions oh great and wise denizens of the Texture Discussion forum.
I want them to be in a multitude of colors personally... Like humans... just not as limited.
I am NOT making rainbow-colored villagers.
At the most I'd consider a spectrum of cyan to violet with their 'default' blue in the middle. This would probably be a random mobs thing, and I'm not going to bother with it for any 'static' mobs since the variation won't remain consistent when playing with SMP. At least... not yet. It certainly won't be in the initial release at any rate.
Alright, cyan to violet sounds fun... Why won't you make other colors? You don't want to make your blueberry villagers to be oranges or something?
The exact color doesn't really matter to me as long as they're all basically the same color. Like I said, I don't really care about villagers much. If everyone comes to a consensus about what color they should be, I'll go with it.
Criticism... I personally like a bit of both sandstone varieties, but I prefer the red. I don't like the glass personally... it just hurts my eyes...
On to the stone bricks, I like the little bits of color variation with the blue and reddish hue(is that the right word?) I love the swamps(and also Magic: The Gathering...) I like what you have going with the boats as well. The still water isn't my favorite but I can't think of any reason why not accept it doesn't feel like water to me. I'm judging this on the still images I've seen. I'll give you greater criticism once I see the animations...
I don't like the villagers but they're well done. Also why do you people think they look like people from Avatar?
I like the snowflake obsidian, I honestly do. Sorta reminds me of impurities in the rock.
Cobblestone, I really like, I just like that discoloration between the rocks. The planks, aren't my favorite but they're pretty good. They just seem... flat to me. The lava is different, I'll tell you more once I look at the animations. I don't personally like the blue nether fortresses... I'd never see them on my dark monitor...
Chicken, sheep and cow all well done. The grass is amazing. And I love all the logs.
If I've missed anything please inform me and I'll give my opinion.
I don't like the glass personally... it just hurts my eyes...
I've changed the glass a little bit, but I'm not sure that I like it still. I want a glass that's easy to see through, but it's hard to do without making it making it totally invisible. I might have to resort to using Better Glass, although I'm trying to avoid relying on mods.

The water is going to be changed before release. The animation makes it look better, but I've become dissatisfied with it. The new version will be similar in appearance, but more water-like. Hopefully...
