Most of your patterns have bad tiling (That stone is going to look pretty bad). Instead of outlines, advance your shading, as in, more defined shading, less dithering. The sidegrass is just lazy. The shading on the flowers and mushroom is pretty bad too. Instead of just brightening some areas and darkening some others, think of how the light hits the thing, the shape of the thing, and what parts of the thing casts shadows on other parts of the thing. Also, you should make the ores more embedded, and some of them should be more shiny, e.g gold. I don't think the size difference on the flowers isn't going to work. The mushroom could be a bit more round. Lastly, not required, but making the ores different shapes is a great thing. But you don't have to do that. I don't even do that mostly. I wish I did really.
Thank you for you input! I don't know why, but my stone is just plain awful even though I remember checking it for errors. *shrugs*
I will take everything you said into account.
I have had an awesome time but I realized that this isn't a good place to start for a beginner. Reason is, it is very difficult being limited to colors and being very new to this at the same time. I'm sure I could accomplish a good texture pack, but I just don't have the time for the color limitations. I am going to try to get more experienced and try to make a texture pack on my own. I will be checking up on this thread often to check out all of your work, I can't wait to see everyone's progress! Anyways, I will definitely be joining the next challenge, or maybe the one after that.
Fish, you have been an awesome mentor, thanks for everything. I love all your texture packs (Especially Clownfish!) and it has been such a pleasure talking to you! Keep doing what your doing, your texture packs are truly amazing! Never give up on what you're doing, we all enjoy it!

Thank you very much, I'm sure your pack will be truly magnificent!
Have fun and always try out new styles, no matter what you're doing (maybe not even art :o)
Why is it so awkwardly silent here? Why is my text insanely small? Why am I asking myself questions?
... Um, so, if anyone's still alive who was doing this, can I make the glass completely transparent? Because I like glass better that way, personally. But it might seem lazy or cheap.

You can make it entirely transparent if you like... I think the contest might be dead though...
Yeah, I know. I was being REALLY lazy.

Yeah- me too. (Although I haven't really worked as much as I should have. :()
And thank you, I drew it myself.
