Okay, my pack is definitely having ctm. At least for the randomization. xD I love the concept of random textures; it's so much fun.
Edit: ... Wow. 17 different possibilities for each type of ore. This is going to take me forever! xD I have 10 more to do for coal and then another 16 for each of the other ores! -not doing any copy/paste-
@Fuzzelchan How would you make it randomized? By hand? Because when I randomize things by hand, it looks terrible.
MC Patcher with ctm selected. x3 It gives me the option to have the ore randomly selected from one of 15 for each block, and some can have a higher chance of appearing than others. For everything but redstone, the ore vein is going to be a rare option. I'm doing so with grass and likely planks as well. x3

This is another one of those times where people dont actually use reference and assume things based on default. emerald is actually rather dark in colouration:
There's too much saturation and too little contrast on that redstone. I know there's probably not a lot of things to do about that but do something because it doesn't look a lot of good at all
I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure redstone is supposed to be saturated.
Well, Chiaro and Dragoni are both pretty cool so I disagree.
But yeah, give it a try aquaxo!
I always use #2 but #1 is also nice.
I'll try both pattern #1 and #2, but I kinda like the uniform-weirdness of #1.
Number 2 is personally my favourite, but number 1 has an organized feel that I love. xD

I was a little off. Turns out it's 15 different styles of ore for each one. Either way, you get a TON of variation. xD
How do you shade a 3-tall area with three colors in a way that doesn't look random or like a gradient?

x3 I'm doing that with all my ore. The cracks and moss on my cobble/stone brick are also going to be randomized. It's going to be awesome.

Trust me, I know a little bit about minerals myself.
But I prefer it to be brighter, although as you can see it has the most contrast of any ore.

Hey, this is a pallete not my own choice.
I would have personally kept it saturated but shifted some hues.
I don't know why everybody suddenly thinks redstone is unsaturated btw.
The entire point of it is red.
