Unable to Patch Texture Pack

Hi everyone,
I am on a Mac laptop and my texture pack was saying "use patcher" on a lot of the items. I used McPatcher, I clicked patch and tested minecraft but it wouldn't open the tester and it did not work? What am I doing wrong?

Try installing optifine instead. That should solve your problems

Also, don't use the "Test Minecraft" button on the patcher. It launches the game in an odd way that can lead to unexpected results.

Another issue that you might be having is that another mod is conflicting with HDPatcher.
