I am making a Texture pack (not spoiling it) but I have looked on Google for this answer for days.
I know how to change how leaves LOOK, like their arrangement of pixels and what-not, but
I can't change the color of any tree's leaves that isn't the basic wood tree.
Does anyone have an image or description of how I can change the color of this?
And yes, I have a basic understanding of texture packs and making them. This birch leaf issue is just a huge roadblock in my plans.

Birch trees and pine trees have the leaf colors hard coded into the game.
Other colors that are hard coded include the lit redstone (red) and the unlit redstone (solid black).
I sometimes wonder if Notch hates texture pack makers or if he just doesn't think about the impact of these things on texture packs. (I suspect the latter, he doesn't strike me as terribly organized.)

understatement.. you made one...lol
Don't get me started. I often find myself wishing Toady One (The maker of Dwarf Fortress) was the guy who made Minecraft as he seems to be a lot more on top of things. The main thing Notch has going for him is that he was willing to try a really crazy idea and it worked. (Lets face it, making a game where the world was entirely big cubes was a pretty nutty idea.)

All of the birch trees have a minty color. I don't know if the birch trees don't actually have a biome color triangle like the others or, if it's a specific setting. The server I administrate has a very large map and I've explored a lot of it myself to noticed that literally every birch tree is the same. I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Nope, that's for regular trees and pine only. :/
I don't know but I'll try. Thanks guys.

You may be the single most useless person ever. Please stop.

Before replying try colouring the top right (pine and birch) red and the bottom left blue, then you'll see the difference very easily.
