There is no "best" texture pack. It depends on preference. Personally, I don't like the realistic packs. Not that they are bad, but I don't think they fit the theme of Minecraft, and especially don't work in the distance due to the level of detail being rendered as pure grainy noise, which, in my opinion, looks ugly. Thus, I prefer smoother, cartoon packs (namely my own, ;D).
What kind of resolution are you looking for, and what kind of style are you looking for?
There are many styles: Realistic, Smooth, Cartoony, Sprited (like Doku's) etc. You need to find one you like, and then browse the packs of the genre.
Asking "what is the best texture pack?" is like asking "what is the best movie?". A lot of people will share the same opinion, and everyone will agree that some are better than others, but ultimately, it's down to your own personal preferences and opinions.

Actually i kind of liked your pack but, the inventory was a bit of an eyesore
I really do not understand why people like doku so much. To me, its just another typical dark texturepack, and I hate shitty dark themed texturepacks. I'd say summerfields is the best one.
I have two packs, both are currently getting a MAJOR update. But the Synthetic reality has been voted one of the best photorealism packs around, check it out, it was also the first pack available in all resolutions. :smile.gif:

Or in other words, we can't answer that question for you as it's subjective and you haven't told us what you actually like.
